Hi Tony, Hi Allison. Fantastic, the best way up Kirk Fell. That route up the nose is both boring, long and steep. Going up Kirk Fell Crags is much more fun. 😀 Great video as always guys. ⛰🥾

Thanks Dave, yes, I think that because the populated side see the grassy slope it doesn’t get many looks but it’s true nature is revealed up the crags. Enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

I can assure you that coming down Kirkfell Crags is a lot more interesting than going up! Great fun.

Hi Paul, I’ll bet it is mate 😆. I’ll give it a go next time up. Any way but that boring grassy run up. All the best out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

Brilliant hike and video, Tony, a great watch. Love Kirk Fell, but Great Gable is one of our favourites. Your video brought back a lot of memories. Regards, Ashley

@@ashleyjarnold Hi Ashley, Great Gable is a fantastic top. Kirk Fell is a cracker and is unnecessarily ignored as the views and crags make it very special and a quiet day compared to GG. I’m glad you enjoyed it mate. All the best out there 🥾😁⛰️

What a great walk/scramble on what looked, to start with quite an unpromising day. Loved the views of the high fells with the cloud sat in the valleys. Another cracking video Tony and Alison!
@trekkingwithtony5 күн бұрын
Hi Martin, thanks mate. Although the cloud base was 250m I just had a suspicion that it would lead to a cloud inversion and it paid off 🙌. What a day!!! Glad you enjoyed it mate, enjoy it out there 🥾😁⛰️

Hi Tony and Allison. Super video and route. Stunning seeing those inversions from the tops, a beautiful blanket of cloud all round 😍 Ive never done Kirk Fell so good to see the route you took up the crags. Hope Allison has recovered from the ice hit! Good shot though Tony 😂All the best

Hi Tony, Thanks mate, I’d definitely get this under your belt. A much maligned fell and so very quiet. Yes, she’s recovered and forgiven me 😆. All the best out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

Cool video again, you two. Stunning inversions! 🤯 The next episode of Allison's in-depth route review...."What did you think of the route?"...."Good" 😂

Hi Tony did u get across to loweswater yesterday? I was at haystacks couldn't complain at the weather at all was quite atmospheric with the clouds and not a soul to be seen at 8am. Got a bit of snow fall on the way down. Other than that great day.
@trekkingwithtony7 күн бұрын
@@danh2310 Hi Dan, yes mate. Just put some of the pictures on instagram. Super quiet with sun, wind and hailstones pelting us in the face 😂. A very atmospheric day as you say, glad it was a good one for you, enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

Thanks Louise, I'd definitely say this is the best way to do it as a solo mountain. Great fun with the crags and the views are brilliant. Enjoy it out there 🏔😃🥾

Another great video Tony, thanks. Actually heading over this weekend to take on the Mosedale - may try to bag Kirk whilst we are at it!
@trekkingwithtony3 күн бұрын
Hi Glyn, Thanks mate, I really enjoyed this one. Mosedale is a cracker, you won’t be disappointed. If you go up the nose of Kirk Fell and down the crags you are only adding in a 100m ascent and descent so it is possible. Just be careful of the light and take your torch 🔦 just incase. Enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

Great video Tony really enjoyed the spectacular views! Bit scary for me but I’d give it a go if I can get my fitness back and get a good buddy to come with me! Love the videos! Thanks again ❤

Any recommendations for a cheap starter handheld gps?? I was also under the impression that what i've read about gaiters is that they are worn under trousers, but it looked like you wore them over yours? And only to be worn if going through braken or heavy snow? Not picking on you as I'm only a very very new but confused walker lol😂
@trekkingwithtony7 күн бұрын
@@HughFinn-t5l hi Hugh, I’m here to get people to have a good time walking so ask away mate. My recommendations are AllTrails or OSmaps. But I’d go with AllTrails. Gaiters are over the trousers to, in ferns, keep moisture off your trousers or normally stop spreading mud up your leg as your trousers rub together. Enjoy it out there Hugh⛰️😁🥾

@trekkingwithtony Many thanks. Keep up the good work. Your videos are brilliant and informative! I get very jealous every time I watch them and wish I lived nearer the lake district 😫
