Joe Marcos - When I was young, I fell hard for Blues guitar. I received my first guitar when I was 10 and I found, almost immediately, that playing made my lonely days less so, my headaches not hurt so much, and my sorrow at the loss of loved ones not so debilitating. Kirk’s playing touches off so many wonderful feelings inside. I think if the world could experience someone playing music like that, this world would finally know a global day of peace!

People say Kirk seems so down to earth, such a nice guy.. Well, he is, and the 'cool' you see, is natural and just his way.. He is one of those players who inspire. If you met him, he is the same out at a gig, or club, as you see now. The only difference is you see him in from of you. He is truly a kind and generous person and inspires all who meets him. One of the most supportive genuine persons I have encountered in the industry.

I didn't know Kirk at all. Just saw him for the first time and heard his voice. His style of music, his way of playing the blues in a manifold way, gave me again more inspirations. Thanks for the information and stay well. Regards Volker

Kirk is a great blues player. What I love is his overdrive tone is an extension of his clean tone using mainly the guitar volume to overdrive the amp. Also his days in the swing bands has really paid off giving him a great sense of rhythm. He can sing well too. Kirk and Robben Ford are it for me.

Yea, some guy named Eric, so what? I eventually started a conversation with thie stranger in between her songe and it got to the point of me figuring out that is WAS Eric Johnson, soo cool and the best gig I have ever been to so far, he has no ego poisoning and is so nice, I thanked him for the great music he plays, I drove many miles to attend his concerts, to San Marcos, etc in Texas, from Austin, what a good egg he is!
