The power of winds never fail to amaze...i remember passing nearby along the PW..a great place for photographs...sad to see fallen trees, but thats the way things are.

Yes, mind you it is a very open spot up there so the trees need to be in their prime to survive.

Hi Ana, no, the piles of rocks are cairns, usually built to mark a significant location or high point.
