The Honda J37 3.7L V6 engines have a problem with excessive oil consumption. This issue has been well documented on various Acura forums. Affected vehicles include the MDX, ZDX, and TL. It is kind of scary that Acura called it normal consumption and refuse to take action. This is also why I will continue to stay with Lexus.

Acura extended the power train warranty on all 3.7L cars and offers to replace the pistons if your engine burns oil.

@@area859 If you're asking about the TL, it has to do with the trim level. Essentially all SH-AWD models 2009 - 2014 with the 3.7L were affected.
