Well you can only kill so many bears per year you can run your dogs but you still have to go with local laws and regulations
@Saltychip2943 ай бұрын
You realize people don’t have unlimited tags right? lmao there’s only so many hunting videos you can make per year unless you have all these rich connections to fly all around the country to hunt every single possible tag you can get.

Genghis Khan (born Temüjin; c. 1162 - August 1227), also known as Chinggis Khan, was the founder and first khan of the Mongol Empire. After spending most of his life uniting the Mongol tribes, he launched a series of military campaigns, conquering large parts of China and Central Asia. The mongols also expanded to Siberia at some point. And that’s where these West Siberian Laika dogs originated from. That’s the connection. And that’s the origin of the pup’s name.

Great video. What was that camera on his collar ? Does it work good?
@LaikaPower3 ай бұрын
Hi! I simply duct tape a GoPro to the Garmin GPS tracking collar. I’ve tried all kinds of camera vests and harnesses. This simple duct tape trick works best. Unfortunately (fortunately!) my male dog that had the camera found the bear super early into the hunt. I didn’t have a chance to press the record button on the camera. So we didn’t get any footage of the chase. I have a couple videos on my channel that shows the first person view on my dogs’ bear encounters.

8:22 actually I think it’s the finger snapping. Kind of how drug dogs don’t usually sit until the car gets tapped by the handler. 🤔🤦🏼♂️ at least the dog still listens well to the command! That’s what is important! Beautiful dogs!

We prefer the word “gritty”. “Aggression” in general and towards humans in particular has been bred out of these West Siberian Laikas over the centuries (if not thousands of years!).

That’s badass. Sadly in pa we can’t use dogs or bait. What we can do is drive them or hope to catch them moving through. Pa is weird like that but that is how we get the big bears every year. I think the heaviest one last year was like 700 pounds

I like your videos Kirk today is 9/14/24. I should be hunting West Virginia 10/7/24. I will struggle in the mtns because I have a bad leg. I have many dogs from WestVa. However what yall call thick is wide open terrain. I have enjoyed this video because I got to see these Laika . Good work but thay are only going to work in very thick bear, not enough nose to trail a cold track. Thats what it appears anyway. Thanks I saw and didn't have to buy to satisfy my curiosity. Good work

We don’t ever tie them laikas back under a bear tree. These dogs keep their eyes on the bear at all times. Whether it’s charging them on the ground or coming down at them from above - they are quick to dodge.
