It's been so amazing and our absolute highlight was visiting Haworth and the Bronte parsonage. The Brontes were a 19th century literary family - the sisters Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte are all well known poets and novelists.

The advantage of visiting Haworth in the rain, in November, is that the streets and Parsonage are not overun with other tourists! It all adds to the atmosphere as well: I really enjoyed my visit there a couple of years ago

The red telephone box is still there! I spoke to my sister in Canada from that box for 20 minutes! (quite expensive) Back in the day in 2007 when we didn't have a mobile phone plan! I love Haworth and enjoyed seeing it through your eyes. We stayed at a place in the village; can't remember its name right now. We visited the parsonage but weren't allowed to take photos back then. I loved the gift shop too, and we walked for 2 hours on the moors, all the way to the waterfall and the Bronte rock chair. It was marvelous, and yes, it surely has quite an atmosphere. Thanks so much for this video.

Oh my, such memories! Yes, that's why we want to visit again when it's dry. We are dying to walk along the moors!!

@@KirstenJoerg if you are able, you will just LOVE the moors. It's so quiet there, and we met only a very few people...I don't know where the Bronte sisters got their energy for such a long tramp! I was astonished. We climbed a stile in the middle of a field and wondered down to a pub, but it was too thick with cigarette smoke so we kept walking. I think it took 2 hours total and we ate at the White Crown in Haworth for dinner; it was roast beef and I still can remember it after all these years! This was in July 2007.

This is the loveliest, sweetest, and most peaceful vlog. Your choice of music was wonderful and thoughtful. It was an important aspect of the scenes. I especially loved the playful children's song when you were in the sweet ship. We spent almost three weeks in the UK this summer. We couldn't see it all, so it is great to be able to see more of beautiful England through your vlogs. Great, great vlog!

This part was as good as the first. Beautiful place you stayed at. That second room was so cozy with the fire place. I think I liked it better than the first, all on one floor. Stepping back in time with you was wonderful. The beautiful streets all dressed up for Christmas and all the lovely shops was so welcoming. So lovely. My mother was Scottish and my father was Irish. However I was born and raised in Australia. I only have my parents talk about the cold Christmas. Christmas here is summer time. And last summer it had 45.7 degrees Celsius. Very hot. While you are keeping warm we are out settling up water baths and sprinklers for all the wild birds that seek us out in hot weather. Hi Kirsten and Joerg, I so enjoyed Yorkshire Part 1 and have been waiting for part 2--so beautiful and atmospheric. I'm sure it's lovely in the sunshine, but the fog always makes me so appreciative of times and peoples past. Your accommodations were so lovely, as were the restaurants. I must tell you that when you were at the Brontë Parsonage and graveyard, with the light fog it was so ethereal in a way. I got very light chills and tears just started coming from my eyes. Very odd of me. I had to pause and go make a piping hot strong cup of tea! With honey! I do love Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights so; have read them each a couple times but it's time for a re-visit. And the village, so beautiful. The sweet shop was such a treat! I loved the vintage tin, and the strawberry mints looked delightful! Thank you for taking us on your journey. I love Haworth! Good thing about your rainy day - hardly anyone there. It can get very crowded. That cemetery has such an atmosphere, as you said. I will always remember the noise of the birds (wish I knew what they were) and the chiming of the clock. What a special place. I am so glad you got there :)

We loved the Georgian mansion. You can actually stay there, they have the most amazing rooms but you can only hire the whole house but it's beautiful. Thanks so much for watching.

Lovely video again from beautiful Yorkshire. I became fascinated by the Bronte sisters since reading Wuthering Heights as a young girl while still living in Canada and was determined to see Haworth and learn more about them which I got to do when I stayed in the area. I would take the bus from Barkisland to Haworth and enjoyed every moment of the trip through the moors and villages. While in Yorkshire I read everything I could and was sad to read how difficult their lives were and how one by one the children of Patrick died. Such terrible times, Patrick was a stern campaigner to change the water in Haworth as he realized the water was killing many of the people especially the children. He realized that the flat gravestones were not allowing the bodies to decompose the way they should and this was affecting the water. It took quite a while for the powers to be to accept and make the changes he pushed for. Such a fascinating family and place. I loved walking the moors, I felt all the same feelings I had as a girl reading the book back in Vancouver. Thank you again for sharing your wanderings, even though I took loads of photos they are not the same as a video, which puts me right back there. Oh and goodness that first room was gorgeous!

Kirsten when you do go walking go in June or July when the weather is better and be sure to wear good boots, take water to drink and some snacks. I'll be waiting for that video so I too can revisit that beautiful and mystical place. Cheerio for now.
