Great result I love the cat you've drawn. As a beginner I do the the sketch with the Prismacolor Col-Erase, white. The advantage of this pencil is that it does not leave those white marks on the paper, how for example, white charcoal does if I have to erase lines or have to correct something.

I'm bingewatching all of your tutorials. 😅 I already did quiet a few drawings on black paper. I have no problem switching my mind from black to white. I mostly did some animals to hang at my parents walls. I used a little color in them but very subtle. I think it looks more timeless then a colored pencil drawing. Definitely with a black passe-partout with a white core and a black frame.

I fell in love with using a dark - and especially black - paper with pencils or pencils and guache or acrylics since I saw Drew Struzan's art *years* ago😊... There is something about idea of using negative space that makes things pleasantly challenging, but also everything is more bold and stricking than usually. Also, it's a very good exercise, because sketching light on dark makes you observe and think logically about values😉.
