You know this whole situation reminds me of the whole "Tatsuya" stuff, Tatsuya was a guest celebrity in Yakuza 5. They portrayed him as a master chef capable of doing a perfect dish based on a few local restaurants. IRL He was apparently massive jerk and had come under charge of making customers pay 800 yen per water bottle because (And the reason Is why I always laugh at stuff like this) "It's good water" and "My restaurant is not made for poor people". What a genius.

Such as not being able to select different versions of the same character In Naruto games for a team and Sanji having a completely different moveset against women... I believe programming this just because of Kiryu not only would probably demand a total system overhaul, but would destroy the meta of the competitive scene.

Because then Kiruy would have to hit women. And that's something he refuses to do, even at the risk of his own safety. It's the stated reason from the creator of the Yakuza series why Kiruy will never be in a fighting game. He just won't hit women. Unless they're transsexual. Or in Project X Zone. Or are non-human. Or are children. Then it's okay, I guess. Honestly, I get it, it's an important part of his character, to the point where he won't attack your female party members in Yakuza 7 and his counters deal no damage to them, but it's just a bit funny to me how this super important rule of his, and subsequently the creator, have been broken more times than it has been enforced. Dude would happily whale on Juri and B.B. Hood, but Samus? Even in power armour? Noooo sir! That won't do! That's a woman, don't you know, and Kiruy doesn't hit women!

@@Kessekom It's a good game. On the 3DS though so might not be for everyone. Used to play the original, the game Project x Zone is basically a spiritual successor of, which was Namco X Capcom back on the PS2. Some real good times that was.

Although some characters that appeared In the previous game don't seem to recollect the events, since the game deals with parallel universes, might as well be another version of them.
