This ugali flour looks like the wheat cereal I use to make porridge. I am gonna try Ugali one of these days because I have access to wood fire. It is the same way we cook tun cornmeal. haha

Ugali flour is a white cornmeal, and it tastes the same as the yellow one. It is just an unseasoned turned cornmeal. If a coarser cornmeal is used, that's what polenta is made from.

Polenta is what we call turn cornmeal aka tun cornmeal here in Jamaica. You need to try the Jamaican version the next time you visit. W use coconut milk and mixed vegetables to prepare it
