I watched this as part of an Animation Show of Shows showcase back in college. The sound of the sardine saying “Long Time, Long Time” has been burned into my brain ever since and I’ve spent YEARS trying to find this short again. Thank you for this

I've been searching it for years too, the sound of the animals chanting "When the burden its lifted from my soulders" permanently changed the funny chemicals of my brain

Omg same!!! I watched it back in 2018 or 2019 at University cuz my cinema teacher play it for us and I loved it. The sound of their singing voices was stuck in my head but couldn’t find the film. 😭 Until I googled “stop motion short film musical” and finally found it 😭😭😭 I was getting so frustrated

I saw this at an animation showcase event years ago as well, very impactful. I remember writing a note in my to-watch list, " Niki - the burden "... since we share the same first name, that's what I remembered... now I just googled it et voilá!

This is fabulous! Weird, melancholic, hopeful, wistful, uncomfortable... So many contrary and contrasting emotions that play well together. Reminds me a bit of Bjork. The animation is superb

An utterly fabulous short film that introduced me to the incredible work of Niki Lindroth von Bahr, who is now quite possibly my favorite stop motion director. One of her other films, "Bathhouse," is also on this channel and well worth a watch

Lord have mercy. You never know what you'll see on Kis Kis, but it always fresh and ingenious. I think that third fish has real talent. Gonna be huge, once his skin clears up.

Watched it years ago at FMX among Shelley's Eye Candy. This one stood out and left me strangely moved. It was not available on youtube back then. Glad to have found it now, so I can share it. It's wonderfully unique.

If you want to dub it into English I suggest Tom Waits for the telemarketer

Love this. Maybe this will be my 'soundtrack to Ascension.' One of the singers sounds like a mid-career Tom Waits.
