It's so funny to me to see these guys all on stage together.. 😂 Kiss look gigantic, larger than life.. and Def Leppard still look like they never left Sheffield, London or Northern Ireland.. Yet, if I hear any of their songs, I will windmill my hair and go nuts !! 😄🤘🤘🤘 Truth is, stage presence is one thing, but music can be enjoyed without any visual at all.. We went to this show when it came thru. We NEVER miss a DL show. DL opened for KISS. And BLEW KISS away! I knew they would. KISS was good. But DL? They have the greatest live shows I've ever seen.

I have been a Kiss fan since the 70s and first saw them in concert in 1975 when I was 14. I saw these two bands during this tour when they played here in Charlotte. Del Leppard played first and just kicked ass! Musically there are far the superior band. The difference in the playing ability made sitting through the Kiss set difficult. Some bands are just more talented than others. I have seen both bands in concert since and both times realize the difference in quality of their playing ability.

It’s not really a contest… compared to album after album of incredibly melodic and layered songs with such complex parts… kiss is a gimmick band - maybe the premiere one of al time… and they have some fine simple anthems… but comparing the two might as well be Mozart vs the Tums and Budweiser commercial jingle.

The problem with musicians these days (new ones not these guys) is that they've never had nothing, more often than not, come from something, so they never know what it's like to work hard for next to nothing. And when they do get famous, they only think of what's going to earn money, the next number 1, which audience or demographic to go for. They'll never have the musicianship or magic these guys have because, they're always looking for the next thing like it's a commodity. Maybe if they played with their hearts and minds instead of how big their wallets are or how many likes on Instagram they have, then maybe just then, we'll have some new people who are worth listening to and we won't be just going back to the guys who started with nothing,played what they wanted to play and made our lives better.
