KISS is back on the charts? 🤔 Gene & Paul are doing interviews, while Tommy & Eric are on the cover of magazines? Also... who took my wallet and bought all of this KISS stuff? 😂

Dressed To Kill.....my favorite! I can listen to that record over and over and never get tired of it. To me it is top to bottom perfection!

Carnival of Souls and Dressed to Kill are great albums and I really enjoyed hearing those albums mentioned. I felt I needed to comment because I was happy. Plus, the subject of what the members are doing now is interesting and I’m glad about watching this episode. Very cool. Thanks. 👍🙂

Loved your Peter Arquette memories. That logo (piece of paper), I believe is vintage, they were inserted in Army Kits etc…just extra things they would throw in from the warehouse. I too always kicked myself for not buying that electronic pinball. So much fun. Collecting wise, these days I tend to focus on a specific topic. Last year was DYNASTY, this year DOUBLE PLATINUM, forever ongoing is Songbooks and Army Kits 😍. Collecting is fun, because you can make your own rules.

Wow really? I had no idea it was or even could be vintage 😂 Thanks for that info! And yes you're TOTALLY right, we collectors get to make our own rules!! That's the best part. Best of luck on your Double Platinum search 🤞🙏

@@kissarmythings I figured it out....KISS ARMY WAREHOUSE is now selling them, and they call them "KISS LOGO INSERT". I believe you said you got that in a Peter Arquette package, years ago, he was selling them, and his description noted, "often included in mailers from the KISS Army in the 70's". So, I assume it would have been Army notification stuff, renewals, or actual kits. I checked the KIT book, and there as no mention of them. Hope that helps. Fun to have regardless. Have a great week.

The only KISS collecting I am doing at the moment is filling in some gaps in my music collection. I recently picked up a pretty big handful of 45 singles at a local shop for a dollar each...about 50 of them and 8 of them were KISS. So that was cool, got some great stuff there. I'm currently looking to get the Psycho Circus cd that has the bonus disc of live stuff. I want to hear the 3 PC songs done by the original band. That one is not to easy to find at a decent price! Great show by the way!

Great score with the 45s!! 👏👏 What were some of the KISS ones, if you don't mind me asking? And wow... I just tried to find a Psycho Circus 2-CD Limited Edition for sale and couldn't even find one at all 😮 That's really surprising to me, I've always seen at least one for sale somewhere... But you better believe THE SECOND I do find one, I will let you know 💯

@@kissarmythings I got Beth/DRC on the Camel label, HLW/Mr. Speed on the Camel label, 2-IWMFLY/Hard Times (slight variation on the labels), SKS/Dirty Livin', WWH/Dark Light, Ace NYG/Snow Blind and one that was in bad shape CDL/ Take Me but I picked it up anyway it was only a buck.

Fun episode! Like Ken Vance says in the comments, if you haven't heard it, check out the song "In the Garage" by Weezer for another Kiss reference. Also, Kiss adjacent, I recently watched the Bon Jovi documentary on Hulu. There's a lot of old footage of Doc McGhee when he was their manager (1984-1991).

Am I a patron of the show. I have been watching you guys and commenting about the show for almost as long as you have been doing it, to give you as much support as possible. I don't know if I am or not? 🤔 I like the more complex KISS as well, and early KISS, 80's, 90's and up to Monster have complex and straight forward rock mixed in. Paul has always been the most complex songwriter of the group. Gene always needed help in that regard. I could go on about it, being a guitarist, I like playing more complex structured songs. Why groups like AC/DC, I laugh at. That is the private side of Paul, he was not going to make any big announcement about anything with Allison at this time. I saw the performance of Phantom of the Opera that Paul performed in. I think that was a pre-approved question by Allison. I commented to her about the voice when Paul said that and how I have said the same thing to people I know. I keep forgetting how young you are Xander, Jackass and you were a little boy.😅

Hi Greg! Seriously, thanks for watching and tuning in as long as you have. I love seeing your name in the comments every week 🙏 I just checked our Patreon list and I did not see your name, so technically you're not a patron. You can sign up here if you want (www.patreon.com/KISSArmyThings) but it's $5 a month. Please don't feel pressured to pay; it's just a way for our fans to watch our other KISS videos and see some of my KISS projects that don't get put on KZbin. Think of it as like a KISS Army Things streaming service that helps support our show 😎 And yes, I was 6 when that first Jackass movie came out, and I was 25 when the last one came out 😂 I totally agree, Paul was the better songwriter... Gene has always baffled me; he writes cheesy lyrics like those in "Charisma" but he also wrote the brilliant, almost nihilistic lyrics to "Within"? He's got range I suppose 😅

@@kissarmythings You are welcome and thank you for the great reply. I would never feel pressured, like KISS, I choose what I want to support, because I want to and I will. I usually watch your podcast in segments, not all at once. That is why you see so many edits in my comments. Lol. You are right about Gene, he is a guy that is hard to pin down with his writing style. Remember in the early days it was Stanley/Simmons with alot of the songs. When they went their separate ways, so to speak in writing, no pun intended. You could really tell the difference between the two. It was time for the good, the bad and the ugly. Until next time. You guys take care of each other!😉

I have heard people say Ace Frehley can't sing anymore on his single albums. I guess I have a different attitude and ears. He still sings and sounds melodic to me. I would have liked to see his detractors play and sing as well as Mr. Frehley does at his age. It is so easy to complain and criticize.

I could not imagine going to work and then getting home only to hear people say, "Man that was a lousy shift! He doesn't work like he did last quarter. And did you see him fumbling with that machine?" I feel for Axl and Vince, they get the hate real bad. I'm starting to hear it being said more and more about Brian Johnson. But yes, money talks louder than the haters! And these guys are selling out worldwide! Long live ROCK AND ROLL! 🔥🤘

@@Playitstraight44 Well it is easy to understand. They are partners. KISS sold them the rights to use their catalog of music, imagery etc. For the further promotion of KISS well into the future in making these concerts, like they are doing with ABBA and other artists. It specifically says partners and investors. Not owners.
