I love this version with guitars and bass. Eric Singer is no Peter Criss, but he is a great vocalist and does a great job on this song, making it his own. Face it KISS fanboys, Ace and Peter are gone They drugged and boozed their way out of the group. Eric and Tommy have kept KISS alive. And they're doing a hell of a job. I was a seventies child and grew up with Peter and Ace. yes, I miss them but Kiss picked the best replacements...I give the band credit for going on...if someone gets hurt in sports, the team goes on with backups. hell they aren't even backups..they are Kiss now. Peter and Ace let cocaine and alcohol ruin their careers but are thankfully drug free now.

No, they didn't. They only performed 4 songs that they did not already perform their last time here in 2013, that would be: "Creatures of the Night", "Flaming Youth", "Cold Gin", & "Beth". I personally would have liked to hear some of their mid to late 80's classics like "Tears Are Falling" or "Crazy Nights" or "Reason to Live". I think Paul & Gene are somewhat like Ann & Nancy Wilson in a way: both of these bands tend to shun playing their mid to late 80's hit songs when it comes to their live performances these days. Their 70's classic songs are great, but both of these legendary classic rock bands are going to need to start changing their setlists pretty soon if they want to continue selling tickets, and I don't mean playing new current songs either. You can find any past setlist of any concert on www.setlist.fm. It's what I use to find out the order of the song list before I go to any live concert or to see if a current tour has a good enough setlist to buy a ticket for.

Tommy sings "Shock Me" and then mimics large portions of Ace's solo spot after it, both of which are worse than if he did New York Groove in my opinion (Ace didn't write the latter). Him doing Shock Me and aping the rocket solo is the same thing as Eric singing Beth really, it actually takes more of Ace's identity to do that then it does of Peter's to do Beth (since Bob Ezrin rewrote Beth completely and no members of Kiss played instruments on it).

No, that's Tommy Thayer. Ace Frehley is 10 years older and heavier looking than Tommy Thayer. Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer are the younger replacements in the band, where as Ace Frehley is around the same age as Gene and Paul. There's been a lot of hate in recent years of the replacement members from hardcore fans of the original KISS lineup, but I don't really mind the new lineup as long as they put on a good show, which they certainly do. It's probably because I never grew up the original 70's classic lineup so I can't say I miss what I never got to experience. I grew up with 80's KISS lineup when there was already new replacement members so having another new drummer and new guitarist doesn't matter that much to me.

A tribute band at best. It's about the money from the BRAND not music. They've been living off what the original four did. Sonic Boom was a financial flop. And the only original music they've made in all the years pretending to be the original band. I saw the Original band on the Destroyer tour. Fucking Brilliant !! I am a KISS fan of the Original band. And it's awesome that so many new fans are okay with what they do now. For me, no. If Eric and Tommy were their own characters, like Eric Carr was The Fox, Vinnie Vincent was The Ankh. Very okay.
