Nothing and no one will rival kiss. My kids are named after them. Went to see them for the first time in 1980 at bingley hall uk. Brilliant. the many many bands who I’ve seen since then couldn’t touch them

I’d read many years ago an interview with Gene where he mentioned the Destroyer stage set having a Ken Strickfadden-type of electrical effect similar to those in the old universal monster films like Frankenstein. It looks like that effect is used at 2:45 in. I never knew that they actually used it. What a crazy stage set! Photos never did it justice.

Very rare view of the most important era of Kiss. Because I'm a pyro guy I noticed the small fire on stage near the end. Not going to put a timestamp, just look carefully after a series of flashpots in the finale. Thanks for your efforts uploading these and shooting them on 8mm a long time ago.

Great shots of the mirror balls covered with flash bulbs at 5:26 that were made for the Alive Tour. There really isn’t any footage of them in action but this is some of the most clear imagery of them I’ve ever seen.

This was absolutely wonderful and brought back so many memories of seeing these guys. Paul and Gene would just blow me away running around and jumping around in those boots like it was nothing. My ankles have the weakness of a toothpick. There is no way i would even try on a pair of boots like that. Still though, those 4 for me anyway would always put on such a high energy bombastic performance. Such great memories.

Incredible. This channel is a wonderful resource. I'd love to see Pophouse do for Kiss what Jimmy Page did for Zeppelin's DVD set years ago and use footage like this in conjunction with official live footage to create a more authentic concert experience on film. This stuff is priceless.

8mm cartridges only run for about 3 minutes. For an hour of footage, you'd need like 20 reels of film. That is nearly impossible for an amateur filmer who said he was 15 when he shot this.
