Fan since 1975. Eric is an animal. So glad a professional musician has been in the role of KISS drummer for MOST of the years since Eric Carr passed. When Eric is in the drum seat the band grooves so much better than the dates Pete has been there there. Pete lost it in 1977 and it never came back. . . . Eric shows up for EVERY show. Thank YOU Eric Singer for checking your ego at the door and helping to keep KISS Alive. I don't think it could have happened without you and Tommy.

Love Eric Carr. He is my favorite Kiss drummer and who motivated me as a youth to become a drummer. He was truly a good rock drummer and a huge step up from Peter. However, If we are honest, we have to admit that Eric Singer is otherworldly. He is world class and probably one of the greatest rock drummers of all time.

When Eric joined the band is when Kiss's rhythm section stepped up a notch or two. Taking nothing away from Peter or Eric Carr, Singer's style suits the band better which i think is the reason he is still with them today.

I was in Army basic at Ft McClelland when I saw that Eric Carr had passed. What a great drummer he was. Eric Singer came in at a tough time and just owned it. What an amazing drummer Singer is!

I'm not sure man, I just listened to Carr playing Creatures and it sounded really flat with no dynamics. On the other hand Singer stays back in the pocket and makes the song bounce. Just my opinion though

He is good, but I think the reason many KISS fans don't care for him is because he is so arrogant a full of himself. I met him on the KISS Kruise in one of the p-ways, wanted to just shake his hand/say hi. He looked at me like who the "F" are you! I was amazed he acted that way. Gene, Paul and Tommy on separate occasions were very humble. He should be grateful to be part of the greatest band in the world. Fans make KISS what they are. I have been one for 30+, will continue due to Gene & Paul.

I've grown up through all three, and I prefer Eric Singer. Mind you, I said prefer. The whole debate on whose better is irrelevant. Criss is miles away from what he used to be and will never be back, and Eric Carr is gone (God rest his soul). However, I think Carr and Singer bring skill that would be challenging for Criss at any point in his career. Don't get me wrong, I spent my youth with the original four, but I also grew up in a drumming family I recognize what a drummer can and can't do.
