My first concert ever was KISS with Judas Priest in '79 at the Met Center in Bloomington, MN (current site of the Mall of America. Shame). I was 8. Changed me forever. Thanks Dad! The '96 tour was something I never thought would happen, and made me feel like a kid again.

We did something very similar!! Me & my brother & 2 friends sold tickets to the neighbors for our Kiss "concert" & in the back yard we were dressed as Kiss and pretending to play to the album "KIss Alive 2"!!! We actually did this twice but each time 1 of the 4 couldn't make it so we were a 3-man Kiss but on Halloween 1978, we trick or treated as all 4 & everyone LOVED it! I still have the pictures!

Saw Kiss (Animalize tour) in St. Austell, Cornwall in the UK October 2nd 1984 with Mark St John on guitars, he was very good .Kiss were fabulous that night and the support band was Bon Jovi who were very good that night. Fast forward to May 1st 2010 Took my daughter to see them on Sonic Boom tour, Sheffield Arena, UK. Again Kiss were brilliant, we were at the back of the arena and during "I was made for loving you" Paul Stanley was on a zip wire which transported him across the arena in front of my daughter and played his solo, absolutely magical. That evening Kiss played the song "I'm an animal" for the first time. Also to the delight of my daughter they played Crazy Night which hadn't been played live since 1990. Nothing like seeing Kiss live.

First three bands I realy loved were KISS, Queen and Status Quo. Saw KISS three times here in Europe. On the Lick It Up tour with Helix opening, Animalize tour with a young band called Bon Jovi opening ( it's crazy how time flies....) and finally the reunion Psycho circus tour with the original band and make up. Great shows. After all these years I'm still love the band, even if I prefer their much darker side from the 70's than their glam 80's stuff and all the more recent live circus.

Man. Rich Pardo talking about plastering the walls of their room with Kiss photos takes me back. I guess we all did the same things. Every inch was covered in my room. I had one huge poster of each member of the band on each wall. Then probably hundreds of smaller pics. Think my favorite wall hanging though was the sticker of the Rock N Roll over album that came inside the record. Stuck that sucker on my door so people could see it from the outside. My mom was not amused.

Funny story, living in suburban Long Island, my family and I lived in one of those Cape Cod style houses, and people could see into parts of my room on the 2nd floor. They would always comment as they were walking down the block about all of my KISS posters plastered on the wall. The 2 posters that I remember having are the Sprit of 76 poster, and the Alive poster.

According to Paul Stanley the reason Peter's voice was dubbed in phantom of the park was he didn't show up to do the looping. Anytime you shoot a film if there's a lot of background noise they record the dialogue... I did hear Ace say that peter couldn't say the word talisman as well.

Good show guys! KISS is probably my number 2 all time favorite band, behind AC/DC, such a cool band. I remember being 5 or 6 and my folks got the Dynasty 8-track, wore that one out, my aunt had Destroyer on vinyl but didn't listen to it, so she gave that to me, I still have it. I also remember a neighborhood kid who was like 5 years older had the Mego dolls and he put fake blood on the Gene doll and when he handed it to me, I freaked. lol I was 6! lol I only got to see them once, on the 35th anniversary of Alive, so 2010? It rained but it was a good show, Paul's apparatis that he glides out over the audience with, got stuck half way out. lol Took a little while to get it moving but eventually it worked again. lol Good show, no Ace or Peter but Tommy and Eric did a nice job. Favorite album is Hotter Than Hell, such a dark, heavy album. I've got the definitive collection boxset too, all the studio albums up to Revenge, Alive I, II, III, Kissology 1-3, a couple dvd's that I believe are fan club stuff from back in the day, live shows, Midnight Special etc. Got a few of the old school dvd's, Exposed, KISS MY ASS, KISS Meets The Phantom and a few others. Well done guys!

My first KISS show was Dec 1977 in Phila, and my last one was 2008 in Phila….with probably 60 in between. Been a fan for 48 of my 54 years alive…but I pretty much checked out of seeing them live when they dressed up Eric and Tommy in the make up. I held out hope that they would do the right thing….the ONLY thing really, and figure out a way to have Ace and Peter there at the last show….4 encore songs…Beth, Shock Me, Black Diamond, RNR All Nite….maybe have Bruce come out for Heavens On Fire, etc. I didn’t buy tickets as soon as they went on sale because I wanted confirmation it would happen….Gene kept saying they were all welcome to show up, and I feel bad for people who laid out tons of money or flew here from other countries in hopes this last show would be special and a reunion would happen….based on the carrot Gene dangled. I held out, and as soon as Paul made that PISS comment on Stern, I knew I made the right decision because that put the final nail in the coffin. And as if it’s not bad enough that no former members were there, they weren’t even acknowledged. It’s like Eric Carr never existed. No mention of Bill Aucoin? Sean Delaney? Even Doc McGee? No speech….I mean, it’s absurd. Same show they’ve been doing for 5 years. This is how you honor and wrap up a 50 year career? EPIC FAIL. Missed opportunity. And the avatar thing is ridiculous IMO. Immortal? You live on forever through the incredible catalog of albums you’ve released that will live on beyond you…. Just like The Beatles, Hendrix, Elvis and Eddie VH…. that’s how you’re immortal, not via some AI cartoon video game simulation with canned music. As a one time thing, sure, why not. But this idea that it’s a new beginning is ludicrous IMO. Just keep releasing the deluxe box sets, old concerts and off the soundboards, and maybe some cool coffee table picture books of each tour etc. I’m very disappointed that they totally dropped the ball on this. Could you imagine what MSG would have been like if when that piano rose up out of the stage Peter was sitting there on his stool instead of Eric and he did Beth? The place would have gone mental. THAT’S how u make grown men cry.

I'm a big Kiss fan. The avatar thing is a ridiculous way to end their final show. It's fine if they want to do that along with comics, movies, appearances etc., but those are side issues. I saw this tour when it started in 2019 and assumed it would morph and change along the way. For their last two shows the fans deserved more than what they got. They deserved a great opening act (something Kiss used to be the kings of but have fallen off big time in the last 15 years or so), maybe a few changes in the set list, a nice little appearance by Bruce Kulick and at least a mention of the late great Eric Carr. KISS tours seen - Creatures, Lick It Up, Asylum, Crazy Nights, Hot In Shade, Kiss My Ass, Reunion, w/Motley, w/Leppard, Freedom 2 Rock & Farewell 2019.

Hi Strangeways, and welcome. I couldn't agree more, Pete and I had very incredulous expressions when it came up in the video. As for the 2 shows themselves, I think that is why those tickets did not command top dollar, and up until later last week people were able to get seats for 300 or less. People are just like, enough already!!! BTW, I saw Ace and he played Strange Ways, which his drummer sang. So cool seeing it on stage in some capacity.

Ya. That concert and broadcast were absolute embarrassments. Gene and Paul dragged this whole thing out waaaaaaaaay too long. The KISS legacy deserved more. The fans deserved more. What a trainwreck.

My first Kiss concert was Nov 80 on the Unmasked Tour at VFL Park in Melbourne with 40000 people. Saw them on Revenge, Reunion and once more with Eric Singer on drums. Best memories was the original four reforming with the make up. Worst thing was they kept the make up on and flogged it to death. Last time I saw them Ace was awful.
