That's because television news stations HAVE TO stick to strict time schedules due to commercial breaks... ADVERTISING IS PAYING THEIR SALARIES!! News doesn't pay for itself, and barely makes a profit with advertisers. There's a guy standing beside the camera that signals the on-air people to wrap it up when a commercial break is coming up, or if the show's time slot is ending. Running over time simply ISN'T an option, unless a sponsor agrees to limited commercial interruption.

Gene didn't give the anchors what they wanted, and you can see the frustration on their faces. Gene has always been good at taking the spotlight and talk time away from the interviewer. On top of not saying anything bad about the president, he advertised his own business while keeping the anchors mouths continuously shut. He is a master at his craft.

Listening to KISS as a teenager made me want to be a rock star . Their lead guitarist Ace Frehley (?) is a talented musician but I focus on bass . Gene uses theatrics to cover his bare minimum bass lines but that formula has made him rich . He's a hero of mine.
