If there's 1 thing Kiss are good at, it's making money. They will literally license anything. I actually love the idea of offering stage played instruments to fans and other products. My issue is with the prices. Obviously you don't want someone else buying up things to resale them to make money. It would be nice to see them offer there stuff at least low enough where a fan could resale it and get their money back. If they were half as good at making music as they are at making money they'd be the greatest band of all time.

You boys are a hoot. I'm 64 years old and have always loved music. I started hearing Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry etc etc. You get the idea, but I never liked kiss. And no one I knew did. Doesn't really do *KISS* justice, but it has a few moments that accurately capture the surreal fun of a road trip to a rock show. Actually, I don't think the tune is a good representation of *KISS* at their lean and ferocious best and I've never really grasped why it's a fan fave. Still a lifelong fan, though - lucky enough to have seen them touring behind the first LP.

Gibson is to blame for actively attacking the Gen X with money demographic with all these signature instruments from decrepit old metal stars, most of which haven't been relevant since Gen X graduated High School. KISS was enormous when I was in Grade School. I have friends like Glen who are fans for life. They also stopped all emotional and musical development upon graduation from High School (also seems to apply for Glen, but I mean that as an observation and a compliment). But the man-cave generation must fill their caves. TBF I bought a Gibson USA Iommi Monkey SG special, mostly for the specs, partly for the potential resale value. It gets played a lot .
