I was into it....until late '78...I saw that "Kiss meets the phantom" movie...heard Paul's sissy speaking voice...thinking "my favorite member is gay AF"...then bought Ace's solo album...loved it... even went to see them in '79...but was losing interest...was getting into the Sex Pistols and Ramones...but when they came around in '96 with the reunion tour...them and the Sex Pistols were playing the same night in Los Angeles...but I went to see Kiss !!!

OMG I was at this Houston show! First concert for me and my buddy. We were 16. Thank you so much for posting this. KZbin is a wonder. I've seen a hundred concerts since then, but I often think of my first KISS and what an amazing thing it was. The Houston Summit had large screens at each end of the venue, which was a technical marvel at the time. This was the live feed from that show. I've often wondered if it and other rock concert footage from the Summit was saved, who may have it, and if there was sound attached to it. Thanks again. Wow!

You were at THIS SHOW, holy fuck, to see KISS in 1974-1979 would have been fucking amazing!!! They were my 1st concert at 8 Years Old but I didnt see them until CRAZY NIGHTS Tour with ANTHRAX (Among The Living Tour) on March.11.1988 in Vancouver BC Canada. I would have LOVED to see KISS in 1970s

One of the most amazing things about their shows was the fact they could jump around in those high platform shoes without breaking an ankle or falling down. Its a small detail but just look at their shoes...how the heel are they jumping around on those things?

This is definitely a blast from the past I saw kiss once and this was the year I saw them in 1976 such an amazing show so much energy. Yeah, this is one hell of a way to start off my concert viewing. This is my first concert and it’ll probably go down in history as like my top-five that I’ve ever seen. God bless kiss for all the many years of music that they have come up with and through all the hardship and BS that they’ve been through. God bless them!!!!

In about 1978 this was all the kids around me were into. First interest in music. They came to St Louis and a school mate was lucky enough to have his mom take him at 8 years old. Still jealous to this day that I didn’t get to see them then.

This is the best Kiss performance I've ever seen on video. 100% This is what I would show someone (already happened) to explain Kiss and...why. This is significantly important culturally. I'm not just "saying" that. This should be in the library of Congress. This is important American culture. I'm not saying that as a "Kiss fan" this is a cross section of indisputable truth. Thank you...my god, God bless you. ...and God bless Texas. My god. Yes.

Nah, Peter Criss is barely in this video at all. This is a great showcase of 3 members of the band, but not great to show off what they really were like as a unit.

Some fans need to understand back then Paul was 24 yrs. Old gene 26 or so I seen a concert 1976 I loved them Since 1973 I would have been dancing on my chair but today at 62 I know I will brake my neck if I try that today they are old I do agree they needed to stop playing around the time Paul’s voice went that speaks volumes. Trust me I will never stop loving them . ❤️
