Fantastic. The whole KISS MTV unplugged album is great and it's one of my favourite all time KISS albums and concerts to watch. I hate it when haters say KISS are 99% show, 1% music.

Gene has a beautiful voice and it really shows in this song. He hired the guys from Beatlemania for his solo LP in 1978. They were featured on three tunes I believe: See you Tonight, Mr. Make-believe, and Man of a 1,000 faces. A great album and I loved it as a kid because it was far removed from the usual KISS. Holds up pretty well. All four LPs had their moments. Ace crushed it for sure.

The original studio recording literally plays the first three chords of "Do You Want To Know A Secret?" before beginning the song. I think Gene said at one point he was trying to write a Beatles tune.

Came here to say this. Lifelong KISS fan but somehow missed this gem growing up and just discovered it. Immediately you've to myself "Gene is really paying homage to the Beatles with this one" even his vocals are very Paul McCartney like. Almost like he's singing in the style of Paul on purpose.

The RRHOF did KISS so wrong on so many levels. They wouldn't allow Eric Singer in and I'm a hugely devoted Peter Criss fan, he is The Catman, but it was just wrong to make them wait so long and then only relent because of fan and press pressure. The band sold over 100+ million albums. And yet they let in Missy Elliott on first year of adjusted availability? Wow.
