Love Paul’s book but he was a little harsh on Peter. Paul said Peter had a hard time recording vocals ‘had to record multiple takes that were cobbled together’ first off that’s essentially how all vocal recording is done and secondly, Peter sang totally fine in their live performances with a lot of fire and spirit

Gene Simmons , maybe because of that goofy reality show he did, always 'seemed ' like the arrogant jerk in the group , Turns out, yeah, Gene is basically an over rated rockstar, but Paul Stanley seemed to always be the MOST condescending member of the group. I mean, I sorta , kinda liked Kiss, but they were far from being a real powerhouse in my collections. As the years passed, turns out that Ace Frehley ended up the most honest and candid member, he never actually put anyone down, but seemed to get the short end of the stick from the Simmons/Stanley hierarchy.

Paul is so insecure and conceited, Peter never took care of his issues which is too bad because that would be hard to deal with. Paul has a way of making things look like he is so together and with it. Paul is a total narcissist, he's nice when he needs to be in the public eye. I don't know him personally so I can only go by what I see. I'm so tired of Paul always pointing the finger and making it always look like it's everyone else's fault. If Paul wouldn't have gone soft Ace would have stayed. What bothered Paul was Ace's sabotage. And Peter's wife Gigi. He had to spend more time with Ace and his attorneys than with preparing the show. Then Ace changed his mind. Again negotiations. Then Ace changed his mind. And so on. This was intentional. Ace wrote in his book, he didn't want to work with them on the Reunion. Because his daughter Monique was invited to play in the movie "Detroit Rock City". But then her scene with Edward Furlong was edited away. Ace accused Gene. And you could tell that he intentionally wanted to cause difficulties. Paul wrote he couldn't sleep at night. Besides Gene never was influential or powerful enough to make decisions about the making of Hollywood movies.

Of course Paul praises them! He said the four of them were "magical, electric". And he never felt like this before. How can you ignore Paul's enthusiasm for the original KISS? Secondly, it was not Paul, it was Ace who wrote about his resentments against Gene because of the movie. His daughter was hurt. And it's obvious he wanted to hurt the band. He wrote, when his daughter was crying the Reunion was not fun anymore for him. Why did Gene do this to Monique? And so on...Ace always finds something as an excuse.

Paul is a bully, petty and insecure. I can understand his issue9s) with Peter. I'm sure he was difficult. But when Peter was battling breast cancer for his life, he didn't have the class or the decency to publicly wish him well. Instead, he whined about him. With Peter out of the band and essentially retired, he still has spoken form his bully pulpit and slammed a man who quite frankly ended up leaving the band with more class and dignity than the other three. Paul used to be my favorite. I thought he was decent, honest and real. Now, he's become a 'spin cycle'. A used car salesman. A repetitive soulless lawyer type whose only attribute seems to be the constant realization of how gullible his fanbase is. For a guy who made fun of Peter's abilities as a drummer, he's become the guy who can't honestly sing anymore. Karma and justice is served.

They may not have made “squat” but you and Gene were not doing so great yourself so you did the KISS conventions. Not because you love the fans so much but because it was revenue to supplement your declining sales and tours. You brought them back and decided to treat them as employees paying them a minimum per show while you, Gene and Doc were killing it. I’m certain that if they both had better representation that things would be more equitable and a lot of the past would’ve happened a lot differently because they were treated and paid fairly.
