I will never forget waking up the morning after the first night of the cruise and checking it out on KZbin. VERY FIRST video I pulled up I was like “oh look, he’s using tapes”. I saw them literally just 3 years prior and one of PS’s stage raps was to the effect of “WE DON’T USE BACKING TRACKS, WE’RE A REAL LIVE ROCK AND ROLL BAND”…. I had no words.

Gene and Paul deserve the ridicule due to how sanctimonious they are. Always lecturing everyone and never sticking to their word. Why not stick someone else in Paul’s makeup? They had no qualms about doing it for Ace and Peter. Surely losing your voice should qualify if tardiness does. Paul doesn’t have a voice anymore because his technique has always been shouty. Sounds painful. There was a voice teacher who reviewed War Pigs and talked about how Ozzy was using bad technique and rubbing the vocal cords together in an abrasive way. Paul hit those higher notes by shouting. There are ways to sound like you’re shouty and projecting without actually shouting. His technique may be a side effect of his hearing issues too. They should be straight with the fans though considering how they have mercilessly insulted so many who they are now copying.

I was a huge KISS fan when they came out. I saw the original four many times. But what gene and paul are doing now is just one big money grab. Biggest points are when paul use to throw his broken guitars to the crowd for FREE now charging hun=ge amounts of money for them, and saying they are the best they have ever been. Yet years ago also said no one wants to see a band that stayed at the party too long. Well the party for these guys has been over for quite sometime.

Actually, you can hear exactly when Paul lip-syncs, because when he doesn’t, his voice has that horrible, off-key croak sound. For example, in the Hotter than Hell performances in “soundchecks”, the verses sound like how you’d expect Paul to sound. But the leads in the choruses are strained, croaky, and out of tune.
