I think that’s part of the point. Catching you off guard. The remix sound and the dark imagery, tells you right off the bat something is… a little bit off but the twist at the end still has some impact due to the happy romantic association everyone who’s seen the movie will have with the song…

This reminds me of the Austrian folktale "Donauweibchen". In which a young fisher-son falls in love with a mermaid/water-nymph and follows her into the Donau. Becoming her slave and unable to return home, unless an unsolvable task is completed. Spoilers: The story ends with the father of the fisher-son mourning the loss of his only child, for he knows hewill never return.

@@RafScrap It's one of my favourite ones, because of how grimm the ending is. Another good one would be about the maid, who had an afair with her embloyer and then tried to poison his wife. Only to eat the poison herself, turn into a white cat (after her death, I think) and then haunt the house. Causing the man to climb up the roof and fall to his death. The amazing part was, that after this incident, people reported seeing the white cat crying on the roof. Only when the house was demolished did the cat disappear too. And then there is the whole story about the cursed curch tower.

One about a guy claiming he could bowl better than the devil, to which the devil showed up and said "challange accepted". One were the devil helped a guy build a church. Which didn't end well for the guy. And a bunch more, but I would have to look them up again.

Omg I've heard this a while ago, im I'm proud I finally found it. When I found out the fact that it's from Ariel I was shocked. This cover is mesmerising and to be honest I prefer the cover over the original. That would be such a nice song for a villain, its great. I absolutely adore everything that's in minor key, it makes everything sound 100 times better and I feel like it has a deeper meaning. Ur interpretation was truly awesome, good job! =)

If you like major key songs transformed into a minor key, then I highly recommend checking out Chase Holfelder. He's done many minor key renditions and my personal favorite is "Every Breath You Take" originally by The Police.
