When Christine sings "(S)he's there, the Phantom of the Opera!" by herself towards the end, most versions play it pretty neutrally, or like she's completely mesmerised by it. But in this version, it sounds like there's a twinge of horror in her voice, and I think that provides a more interesting insight into the character. Just my favorite little detail in this cover!

As someone who loves the musical, I've always wondered what the show would be like if it was genderswapped (male roles played by females, and female roles played by males). While this is not quite that, it's pretty damn close. I've primarily wondered what it would be like if the Phantom was played by a woman. This is actually pretty damn cool! THIS. IS. MY. FAVORITE. POTO. EVER. I've always been a Broadway dork, but I've never seen Phantom. I just love this song, and I'd found a metal/opera version of it by Nightwish that I loved. BUT HEARING THIS, THE WAY YOU TWO FREAKING TURNED INTO ROCK/METAL AND THEN HIT 1,000 ON THE VOCALS-- it killed me. I am dead; I loved every moment of the song, I was squirming throughout the whole thing. AND LACEY. THOSE END VOCALS. This is the first one of your covers I have heard, and I must say it does not disappoint, I have been practically in love with your voice ever since I heard it, and your voice has such a mysterious catch to it that I just can't ignore, and as for all the covers of Phantom of the opera songs I have heard you and Lacey do, your voices sound absolutely gorgeous together!
