Kit Bashing Ork Beastbosses on Squigasaurs - Warhammer 40K

After picking up a set of the Age of Sigmar Mangler Squigs I decided to kitbash a couple of Beastbosses on Squigasaurs for my 40k Ork Waaagh!.
If you hadn't guessed, this video is looking at the process, and it's got them both in too, a two for oner!

This newer plastic mangler squig is a thing of beauty, I'd considered buying it just to seperate them and put them on individual bases .. cos, y'know, I like squigs. DOH .. squigasaurs, what a prawn I am, it was right in front of me. Excellent kitbashes, very savage and intimidating, cool gut protectors, right posh with a lick of paint. Look forward to seeing your themed armies, any excuse to oogle minis.

I picked up that waaghsome set of mangler squigs for a really good price on eBay . I put the top half of a killa kan on one then put a gobbo with machine gun on top of that .

Is not difficult to kitbash orks army, i know... we make it easy, just think what a boss gonna do with this gear, shiny big and krumpy and that's video is the incarnation of what i whrote. I love your kitbash at all, they r awesome. Sometimes i wish do the same but unfortunally i didn t have much time to do a great job like this! Compliments and merry chrismas!

Kitbashing is a major part of the hobby for me, I do have other factions but orks will always be my favourite. Finding time is often tricky, you just have to fit bits in when up can, it's important to find time for the things you enjoy 😁👍 Hope you had an awesome Christmas too bud 😊🙏

Also.....I loved the intermission, I got a choc ice! Only thing I'm a bit uncomfortable about is.... Do ORKS have nipples???😮

Ah, the old ork nipple debate 🤔 I've seen them with and without, but over the years I've seen many human sculpts without them too. Lore suggests, with the underground gestation sack, that biologically they wouldn't need them. But they were designed by the old ones, so it would have been up to them. Did the old ones have nipples? Probably not as reptilian beings, but they were keen on adding them to their other humaniod creations (humans, aeldari etc), so maybe the standard 'blueprint' of humanoid shapes includes nipples, if they turn out male then they're just vestigal don't serve a purpose. This might be the case for the entire orkoid race. It's a weird discussion, and one I don't think will ever be settled (especially with mammoth posts like this on KZbin 🤣🤣) I say let those with nipples remain nippled and those without bear their nipplessness without shame 🤣👍

Mine aren't the best, I can patch up gaps etc but I think I need a bit more practice before doing heads and that 🤔 Tou could always try sculpting over a spare head (or anything really) just to see how it comes out before committing to a pricey model
