I've not worked with peel ply, but when you were requesting info for a source of narrower rolls of peel ply I was wondering if one could simply cut the wide peel ply directly on the roll using a sharp blade. Tape the loose end along the full width and mark out your various widths and then slice all the way around through all the ply down to the paper roll.

Hi. Cut two circular blocks for the cardboard holder of the peel ply. Add a center bolt🔩 so that you make yourself an axel.. Make up a frame to support the roll, as well as to be able to spin the roll, using a variable speed electric drill.. so a lathe... you can spin the roll and use a sharp utility knife 🔪 to cut the required width of material required all the way through to the cardboard core.. keep it on the roll and use.. no need to import. happy boat building. I'm sure that could be done, but I'm not sure it's worth the time and effort to build the jig. I'll do that if nothing easier presents itself :)

Peal ply should be cuttable with a box cutter. So if you make a jig with blades and place it in between 2 rolls, you should be able to roll up one roll while cutting 6 strips. I’m sure you will pay way more for smaller rolls than 1 big one.

Possibly, but it doesn't cut easily so that would have to be one tight jig!

Can you take the rolled up roll to a band saw and cut it into 9” sections?

find a place that will cut the full rolls for you to what you require. If the can do that on various other items like wraps and toilet rollds they should be able to get that done for you.

The question there is how much would it cost vs just buying the rolls the right size? I''ve located a supplier now, so I'm about to get a quote.

I'm not sure how much pealply you'll be using but just take the entire roll to a chopsaw and cut a 9" section off one end.

Possibly, but we're not sure the edge wouldn't tear poorly.

cut off the width you want from the roll 9”. 12” what ever. use a table saw. foam rubber cutter, electric knife, you do not use the edges of the stuff so who cares if the cut is crappy.
