Kit Review: Dragon 6819 Sturmpanzer Ausf.I als Befehlspanzer in 1/35

Here is my review for KitMaker of the new Befehls Brummbar. The parts look great but to me in seems mostly like a reboxed Early with Zim with worse tracks.

massive kit, its kinda funny to see that conglomerate of various brummbär and panzer IV sprues. i almost bought a dragon kit this week, but went for a meng one because i definately want to continue my personal dragon embargo until we get magic tracks for normal prices back.

Well done again Adam, good info on the kit. Reuse of sprues seems to be part of a Dragon trend to issue "new" kits entirely of existing parts so they can "ethically" remove features such as Magic Tracks without reducing the contents of those existing kits. I have fellow model club members who loath Magic Tracks because their priority is to bang out kits and get them on the shelf regardless of the compromises. Sadly Dragon know that is the majority if the population so cater for them.

+Clayton McClain Thanks, I really like the look of that Tri-Star one. 6026 was a different tooling of the Brummbar, I guess I could have mentioned that. The ones I mentioned were only based on the most recent Panzer IV toolings which started with 6264.

I just bought this kit, hopefully it's nice. I won't use the DS tracks but they'll be useful for making track marks in the vignette base.

The Brummbar I love is 6596 it is amazing kit

Why Dragon whhyyyyyyy...??? Be gone foul BS tracks! I nearly bought their new StuG F but I didn't cause it was like $90 plus 13% tax here and cause it had DS tracks. The Magic Tracks, along with nice detail and PE, were one of the main reasons why Dragon was my favourite manufacturer and why I bought so many of their kits. Still though, the detail is nice and all. And I do love the zimmerit on the plastic cause I'm lazy. Thanks for the review Adam! But what's to stop you buying the old 6500 or 6596 over this? They'd probably be cheaper too given they're slightly older kits.

+Panzermeister36 I would buy the older ones. Easy answer. I love love love 2004-2009 Dragon kits from ebay, and there are tons of them.

Just ashame the shurtzin doesn't fit properly eh! I swapped mine with a Bordor model's panzer 4 Gs I had they fitted perfectly! Few wee issues here n there with the kit like wrong call out for non zim part's to be used n that but if your used to Dragon you'll know to double check things n get a bit of research under your belt! Lol it was quite expensive still think it was like £70 I've not long just built it was my first 2022 build its got a nice gun apart from that the casemates empty! There's no interior in it! I got the Dragon re relised panzer 3 N at weekend first addition with interior! Eat your heart out miniart n RFM lol I bought RFMs full interior stug the same time it's not a patch on that Dragon interior on the Dak N!

Them little zim sprues from the G thrown in are what you need to use to fix the mistakes in instructions the T and the Half sprue it's ridiculous
