@@paulgerhard5170 Classic Style or Top Down Perspective as Aonuma calls it in the Direct would be more accurate to distinguish it from what people think of as "3D Zelda." It's like the Link's Awakening Remake and A Link Between Worlds where it's graphically 3D, but it's not like Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild style 3D gameplay.

Kit & Krysta are the only “reaction” videos worth watching for me, because of their unique perspective from how high up they were in the ranks of this industry. All other reaction videos are just them doing what I’m doing, so why am I watching? For all the other KZbinrs, I wait for their “breakdown” videos, which are excellent.

I see no universe where Nintendo launches the Switch 2 with nothing to sell it. Keep in mind we haven't had a 3d Mario since 2018 (or 2021 if you really want to count Bowser's Fury). They have it lined up for Switch 2 easily

I watched this live and honestly I thought it was an A- grade Direct. Watching again for your reactions, and your reaction to Brothership so far as made it worth it, lol. The Zelda reveal (finally playing as Zelda) alone brought it into A tier. But I can't give it a full A or A+ because it's not like a new 3D Mario sequel to Odyssey was revealed or anything. The only new game I'm truly excited about and want to buy is the Zelda one. I've never been into Metroid but I know it's exciting for some people. Also, I don't care for Mario Party games but I can tell this looks like the best Mario Party in a very long time.

Not sure if anyone else has answered this already, but yes, there are physical Horizon Legos. At least one set so far anyway - the Tallneck. Happens to be one of my favorite sets, it was very fairly priced (even got it on sale for 40% off) and doesn't take up a lot of space.

I love Directs but as a piece of feedback - I much prefer Post Direct discussions over the dime a dozen reactions. There's soooo many channels that do livestreams when I personally like to watch the stream myself and then later watch all the channels that talk about the direct a bit more thoughtfully. A precision episode before hand followed by a discussion episode after is my cup of tea. There's just too many lives and I like a bit more banter without the distractions of the Direct experience. PS: this feedback is what I'd like to see all channels do. I tend to skip all the livestreams and "reaction" videos but watch every discussion of the Direct afterwards. It keeps the hype flame going for me while the reactions seem immediately outdated to me.

17:28 My guess? There’s a Dragon Quest theme park on a small island in Japan. A lot of the buildings and props are based on how they look in the DQ games. Given some of the walls, looks like he’s inside one of the homes. 25:13 Monty Mole seems to be Super Mario Party series (which I guess is a thing now separate from Mario Party) exclusive. In fact, he’s one of my favorite new additions because of one of the rhythm based games where you’re playing whack-a-mole with fake Monty Moles and the whole time if he’s a participant the real Monty Mole is wriggling around in his lane and looks super uncomfortable holding his hammer, even what he’s hitting are fakes. He’s the only Mario Party character in any game and out of all the cast to act uniquely in this way (though with the Yoshi riding minigame shown in the trailer for Jamboree, looks like Yoshi will be getting a similar treatment based on how one of the beta minigames for Mario Party 1 had characters riding Yoshis except for Yoshi).

They really played their cards right putting the Metroid Prime 4 release trailer on this direct. There was a lot of really good stuff but having that as the last thing really made this another great summer direct to rival the Xbox showcase which I thought would clear and away take the W.

Much like Horizon is cursed to have whatever game releases alongside it overshadow it and go on to be GotY, this is the second time in a row Xbox had the best showcase of their career and then Nintendo's showing one ups them! My favorite announcements have to be Metroid Prime 4 and Marvel vs Capcom returning! Also since you asked Krysta, the figure flanked by Metroids in the Prime 4 trailer is Sylux, a playable character from Metroid Prime: Hunters (originally released on the DS) who had beef with the Galactic Federation and has had cameos in other games (Prime 3 and Federation Force) to imply a greater role is coming for him. And its finally bearing fruit!

17:02 - There's locations like this in a few places in Japan. They're USUALLY not allowed to be filmed in, but this seems to be an exception. 34:45 - It would look rough, this isn't the platform it was made for, and the graphics were pretty high on the previous release. The Switch can't match the graphical power of the PS4 or 5. 42:38 - This is Sylux, one of the 6 other bounty hunters from Metroid Prime: Hunters (which is a game I feel needs a remake, it's currently locked on the DS). 43:24 - He actually said 'after much difficulty', which is a more fitting statement given they had to start the project again - with a different team. I dunno why they translated it as 'a long time' instead. Weird thing to focus on.
