Fun Fact: Super Mario Party Jamboree allows you to use button controls and even the Pro Controller, but the motion control specific minigames simply aren't playable with those control schemes. So don't worry, you can play the game with normal controls!

Wait. I only have the Joy-Cons for now, so it isn't really a problem for me, but doesn't the Pro Controller have motion control aswell? I mean it would probably look werid on the hammer minigame, but it should work with the ball one

@@vittosphonecollection57289 I don’t know the specifics, but the official page for the game says the following: “Motion-controlled minigames require a Joy-Con controller and are not available when playing online. Motion-controlled minigames are not compatible with Nintendo Switch Lite or Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, but button-controlled minigames can still be played when using these consoles/accessories.”

​​@@vittosphonecollection57289 the motion ones require one joycon on its side because they make use of that, pro controller has motion too, but it won't work on those specific minigames because they were specifically designed for a singular joycon. But you can still enjoy the rest of the game with your pro controller etc!

Local Dragon Quest nerd here: You may think the order of DQ3 -> DQ1 -> DQ2 seems weird, but the reason DQ1 comes after DQ3 chronologically is because you can find pieces of the DQ3 protagonist's armour and his weapon in DQ1.

Fun fact: Dragon Quest 11 actually takes place inside a book being read by the Mother of the DQ3 Protagonist. According to the post credits Cutscene after the true ending in DQ11... So we knew 3 at least would get SOME kind of remake. I hope they leave the character personalities(and quiz) part I'm the game, though. I mean, they'll have to change SOME things, but 3 was basically the perfect Dragon Quest Already.

All Mario & Luigi games habe punny names, especially from Bowser's Inside Story forward. SuperStar Saga quite literally refers to the Beanstar, but it also refers to the brothers being celebrities in the BeanBean Kimgdom, Partners in Time refers to the brothers travelling in time and meeting their baby versions, Bowser's Inside Story refers to how the game is literally played within Bowser's body but also to the story being a personal tale about Bowser, Dream Team refers to the game being set in Luigi's dreams but also how Mario and Luigi are the perfect team, and Paper Jam is about the Paper Mario world bleeding into the real world and causing trouble but also refers to the term commonly used when paper gets stuck in a printer. Similarly Brothership is both about Mario and Luigi's relationship as well as the fact that they're literally travelling on a boat.

In all fairness the Joycons break or drift more often than the Wii remote broke. I feel if the Joycons didn’t have such a consistent problem people wouldn’t mind motion control games. Remember Joycons are $70 so if they can’t be repaired that’s expensive when a Pro Controller for $60 will last far longer and still has motion capabilities but was exempt from the last Super Mario Party (Mario Party Superstars is not in the Super line which can be seen with the lack of Joycon specific controls and minigames also the title is different)

@@anthonynguyen1289 I guess, sure. But it just seems odd for that to be the reason for such a big reaction of hate. Also, does joycon drift refer to the motion control? I always thought it was just the stick drifting or something. Genuine question, I never really struggled with it on my switch.

@@matthewmarino8163 it’s the stick drifting, but the stick is used a lot still in Super Mario Party. I will say there are some people still not into motion controls at all. Like it’s more of a gimmick and they can’t get used to it most likely because they didn’t play a lot of them or didn’t grow up with them. People less accustomed to gaming are usually better with motion controls. I’m someone who grew up on the Wii so I never had issues with motion controls, but I could understand why some might. Motion controls are the least accurate and what I mean is that the slightest movements in motion control is usually what the game wants not super accurate movements. Like the hammer game in the trailer. You’re not really doing full on swings you just need to do light ones. That could throw off more traditional gamers as controllers and mouse and keyboard you kinda have more control and idea how much power you need to put in. Motion controls are usually overshot by these kinds of people as they feel the motion controls should be similar to how their actual body is moving like VR instead of the weaker and smaller movements they usually ask for which makes the controls less responsive and bad. Honestly I couldn’t fully tell what reasons people have that make them against motion controls, but these are the ones I’ve felt like I’ve heard or seen.

26:14 rest easy Luke, there's confirmation that you can use Pro Controllers to play, but motion control minigames aren't compatible with pro controller. And there's also confirmation that motion control minigames are automatically disabled in online play. So that means that there is definitely an option to disable motion control minigames when you're starting a round.

Are you talking about Wuthering Waves? If so then that's not really on the nose, Wuthering Waves' echoes weren't really a well explored thing until CBT2, and this Zelda game probably started development long before Wuthering Waves even finished CBT1. Also Wuthering Waves is not competing with 2D Zelda. 2D Zelda isn't even really an RPG.
