I think it'd be cool if you dove into a Knight. Maybe a knight aligned to a specific faction. A knight allied to the Sororitas and it's a walking church. An infested Nurgle Knight. Maybe a knight that's more affiliated with the Imperial guard so it's all plain and busted up like a WW2 tank

@LtColShingSides
@LtColShingSides 2 жыл бұрын
@@argokarrus2731 sure but when you have a tank that's as massive as this, with only one gun, it'll need to have room to move the huge parts in and out. The main gun is pretty much a volcano cannon on steroids. So the inside of the tank is just the power source for the gun, and all the mechanics needed for the tanks to move and shoot. I'd imagine the tank as one wide corridor that leads from the back to that hatch, so parts and tools can be brought in for maintenance.
@truenothefox
@truenothefox 2 жыл бұрын
@@LtColShingSides During heavy maintenance, most tanks have the turret removed and placed on stands that have access underneath to get inside without issue, and engine coverings that aren't directly part of the hull are also removed so the engine can be pulled out to be worked on easily. From there, the interior of the hull can be reached using the huge gaps left by all the missing parts. Not sure if it would apply the same way for WH40K tanks, but I imagine it would in most cases.

"Guardsman." "Yes, my lord?" "See that great big door right there?" "Yes, my lord." "I don't want to see it." "Yes, my lord." Makes the call. Ten Storm Sabers roll up into formation. Their thunderous cannons roaring to life. As the cries of the Emperor's fury shakes the very earth beneath their feet. The cursed grand gates being hammered by the thunderous explosions of massive shells striking its surface. The doors buckle and they fall with the thundering roar of screaming men charging into the breech and the sounds of Lasrifles flaring filling the air. "Glory to the Emperor. Glory for the Imperium."

Brilliant conversion! I will never not love super heavy vehicles in 40k. Very much would love to convert my own, I have ideas such as using super heavy tank and terrain parts to create a PDF Naval Vessel or Submarine of an oceanic world. That or perhaps create a giant mobile command centre to use as a kill team board. Or perhaps even an armoured train. Or perhaps use baneblade parts to create a large scale tank carrier. That seems like something the Imperium would come up with.

I've loved this model from the beginning when you made it a year ago. Rewatching it again now, there's a few suggestions I do have. Joining the seams between the landing pad and the tank tracks with some miliput and making it look like a weld job would help to cover that gap up nicely. The barrels could probably have stood to be a different colour from the vehicle. Adding some details like shovels and other gear would give it a little more life. Maybe even some soldier fortifications on the front of the "deck" to make use of that large space as well.

How easily is another story as I’ve neither seen a dakkajet and it’s variants nor a valkyrie in person, so I can’t speak to the spacing/body width. But it’s theoretically possible. Also a fun idea: a conversion based on some of the planes from the classic Crimson Skies: something Like the devastator or the brigand. It’s weird, asymmetrical FW would be extremely orky as well. amazing work really gives me DKK vibes.....speaking of which this would be more of a diorama than a model but has anyone done a proper Death Korps of Krieg trench line? With perma-crete bunkers, dug outs, heavy weapon placements, artillery platforms, command bunker, and tank emplacements?

I saw this thing at warhammer world in a display in the shop before the warhammer community post about it. Cant wait to see what other awesome stuff you make in the future.

I love this, only one gripe tho, that the volcanic cannon cant be positioned flat on the tank and pointing straight forward, irks me quite a bit to see it stuck pointing slightly upward xV

Hey man, I watch a lot of your videos and love what you do, I looked through all your videos and noticed you don't have anything for heavy weapon teams from guard kits. Those kits leave a lot of cool bits left over so I wanted to ask if you could make a video on how to best use them.

I love it and it's backstory and being more of a set peice for naritive games makes sense! Which to me that rust effect looked more like streaks from exust or leaks... And I would have the super srtucher foreword more so the massive hatch would be useable still looks great all built!
