A little tip for building up a collection of those "balls", whenever I've had my hot glue gun out, I keep the blobs that drip off of it, very useful for nurglification

@@PeteTheWargamer And for easy gap-filling, UV-curing resin can be really useful. You can drip it into the gaps between your balls (for example), and with a UV torch, it'll cure in seconds.

Maybe consider converting other Tyranid units or maybe some Hive Fleet adaptations? Tyranid conversions are still quite rare on youtube.

@@PeteTheWargamer The advantages of the Tyranids is that, at least in the lore, they're always evolving. Center a conversion or set of conversions around a single mutation, or for a purpose or against an enemy the hive has adapted to.

It's quite a different mindset, having to build things to make them look more natural is definitely harder than just sticking bits to power armour. But, I think I'm getting there and dipping into the sculpting definitely helped!

I love the advice you gave about not making modifications after gluing - when I built my LED fire prism and tried to drill out and widen the inside of the barrel it was a catastrophe and I had to gut about an inch of barrel to make the rest of the build work. Good advice to follow for sure.

few tips cause i super love these videos man: 1. run your VA recordings through Audacity to remove the background hissing of the mic via the "Noise Reduction" effect, just requires a few seconds of dead air at the beginning of any VA recording session for a sample profile to be generated. 2. love the sneaky background mow of the cat at 2:41, hope they are doin alright friend :))) keep up the good work, you are by far the best kitbash channel for 40k i've found thus far, and i love every time i see a vid of yours hit my sub feed !!

Another thing you could use is the barbed strangler ammunition sac. If you cut away the feeder tube a little putty would add some bloat on the belly just like the old biovore model.

I think the conversion works wonderfully. Seems like the armor plates on top could use more GS to connect them, giving the creature that prominent central peak that most tyranids have. This army has always seemed more daunting to convert in. I've been watching Modern Synthesis steams, but this conversion seems more attainable at a lower cost and skill entry point. Modern Synth does a lot more sculpting.

Love the paint again , but may have been tempted to use more green stuff to seal the gap at the very top between the two additional carapace pieces, giving it a more organic feel. In my opinion at least. Still a top quality piece though

Nice idea! I would say that the Tyrannofex is probably the best starting point, it has the long spindly legs and arms and would just need some reposing to get a fairly close approximation and size.

Small note, biovores are on 60mm bases while the hiveguard are on 50s. Otherwise, this is amazing!

I think there is definitely options for a Pyrovore! I would probably need to source a larger weapon from somewhere and swap out the sacks for pipes. But it's definitely doable.

Very cool. I've bought the Inquisitor with the inferno pistol and a box of Tempestus Scions and I'm looking to make the Inquisitor look more armoured using the breastplate, gauntlets and maybe change the head but still keep the hat. Any advice please?
