A house painter tip to use on masking tape: place the tape, then paint a layer of the base coat. That way, any bleed under the tape is the same color as the base. Then after that dries, paint the second color. When you peel it off, you get a clean, crisp edge.

If you want cables or pipes that hang loosely, you might want try taking them from USB cables. Multi strand cable will last long time though not sure how well paint sticks to PVC. Other trick is to find cord in your liking and stick steel wire trough then shape and add little CA glue on the ends or coat the entirely to stiffen them up.

Yeah you're right there's definitely fancier stuff that can be done, I tend not to do a lot of weathering, kinda because I've not practised it that much, but also because I spent so long building it and making it look good, I don't want to make it look that dirty or damaged

Genuinely, with quality builds like this, get a better mic, a better camera, and you'll blow up. If you have any interest in getting a solid 40K mini channel going, you absolutely can. Thumbnail and title game is on point, so you've got the most important part of KZbin down. Attention beats are honestly quite good, and while the editing could use some experience, you'll figure that out when you go. Keep this up. I'm serious, this is one of the better tutorials / kitbashing videos out there, the writing is quality... And the algorithm seems to have given you its blessing. ;)

I think I might have to copy this idea. Swap the top turret for a missile launcher, and beef up the legs a bit, then run it as a proxy for the new Solar Auxilia Heavy Sentinel in Horus Heresy. It might be a bit too big to run on the same base would be my only concern, but the model was just announced so i dont even know what size base the heavy sentinel would have anyway. Either way, great kitbash idea.
