I've had scammers rage while I redeemed gift cards in the past, but never while on a video chat. Now we can see the look of terror on their faces while we redeem. About 10 years ago this woman at my work came to my desk in secret with 5 $100 target gift cards, and said she needed to redeem them to “Agent Walker from the FBI” or get arrested within hours. 23:13 They almost got my mother in law for her life saving which is a lot but as soon as I walked in the room and seen my wife’s face I knew something was up so I took the phone and as soon as I heard the East Indian accent and he said he wasn’t one of those bad men, his words not mine, I hung up the phone and we all got on our phones and canceled all cc and frozen bank accounts within 5 minutes. My mother in law is almost 90 and if I hadn’t walked in the room at that time and seen my wife’s face and her mothers cc laid out on the table she would have lost everything by these scumbags. Be careful out there, if you didn’t call the bank or cc company just assumed it’s a scam and hang up.
