LAVASH SESAME SEED CRACKERS
INGREDIENTS
- 200g plain flour
- 1 Tblsp black sesame seeds
- 1 Tblsp white sesame seeds
- 100g water
- 50g olive oil
- salt to sprinkle
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 170c and line 2 baking sheets with baking paper
- In a bowl add flour and sesame seeds and mix well then make a well
- Add water and oil and knead into a dough for a few minutes till you get a smooth dough, this is extremely easy as it will be a soft dough and not sticky.
- Cover and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Cut pieces of dough, any size will do, and roll out on bench to desired thickness. I like mine very thin and sprinkle with salt. Using your rolling pin run it over gentle to push salt into the dough then cut shapes eg: long strip, rounds or any shape you like.
- Transfer to lined baking sheets being gentle as it is a soft dough and bake for about 5-6 minutes or until golden.
- Place on a wire cooling rack till cooled, this will only take about 10 minutes, continue with remaining dough.
- Then enjoy with your favourite dip or just as a healthy snack.

Gina, I found this so very helpful for my very first time making lavash crackers, thank you so much. I see it's been a while since you've made a new video, and I'm sorry to see it. I enjoyed your personality and methodical instructions. It was especially helpful to see how you rolled them out so thin. P.S. Somebody said you talked too much. Pay no attention to the Grinch!

Just until they’re light golden. Each oven is very different so keep an eye on them

Can you use almond flour or coconut flour?

I have never made them with those flours. I’m guessing you might have to adjust the ratios
