LAVASH SESAME SEED CRACKERS
INGREDIENTS
- 200g plain flour
- 1 Tblsp black sesame seeds
- 1 Tblsp white sesame seeds
- 100g water
- 50g olive oil
- salt to sprinkle
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 170c and line 2 baking sheets with baking paper
- In a bowl add flour and sesame seeds and mix well then make a well
- Add water and oil and knead into a dough for a few minutes till you get a smooth dough, this is extremely easy as it will be a soft dough and not sticky.
- Cover and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Cut pieces of dough, any size will do, and roll out on bench to desired thickness. I like mine very thin and sprinkle with salt. Using your rolling pin run it over gentle to push salt into the dough then cut shapes eg: long strip, rounds or any shape you like.
- Transfer to lined baking sheets being gentle as it is a soft dough and bake for about 5-6 minutes or until golden.
- Place on a wire cooling rack till cooled, this will only take about 10 minutes, continue with remaining dough.
- Then enjoy with your favourite dip or just as a healthy snack.
