I really like papyrus's characterization here. he's not just one emotion straight he's actually complex here. He's angry at you for all you've done but his head isn't clear and is unfocused and is unsure about his motives. In this fight he can't think straight, he's thinking about what could have been the relationship between him and the human. His characterization here allows for more potential and development for papyrus in later encounters and I like this.

I love how Papyrus is portrayed in this, where he still thinks about how everything COULD'VE been if he acted earlier on, basically thinking about 'another ending' where you and Papyrus can be great friends. But at the same time, Papyrus has no choice but to decend down this path of blight because of how much of a blunder what you really did is. this fan game so far looks excellent and I can't wait to see more of where this goes on.

I actually really like that the insanity slowly sinks in for this take, Papyrus here is confident, but expresses anger, frustration, and confusion. Later, it seems he'll be crazed, maniacal, no longer hesitant, and even more confident in his actions than before.

This is so awesome! All the sprites look great and it looks really fun overall! This reminded me of Astromeda, it's a rpg new game I found on Steam which is similar to Undertale but with its own uniqueness. The battles in it are really fun and hard like this Papyrus fight. The game also has a demo on steam which is where I found it

I might sound like a broken record at this point, but I love how Papyrus still feels and acts like Papyrus! From his attacks still having that "cool dude" feel while slowly ramping up the difficulty, to Papyrus just dropping his special attack is hilarious, but also sad to see that, in his eyes, he's doing the right thing with the path he's going down! Well done on everything presented here!

Honestly, this is one of the best Dusttale/DustBelief versions I've seen! Can honestly be one of the GREATEST with how papyrus is betrayed as still being goofy. and that's what I like about it, it doesn't make papyrus some automatic evil psychopath that's like "Humane I've seen your... genocides!11!1" they are actually still in character, just a little shaken up. like with stretch's Dusttale. honestly I'd say its tied for one of the best DustBelief versions between halo's DustBelief and Kitchen Crew's. Keep up the good work!

I think it's great that Papyrus doesn't really change his personality, he still has clear goals and justifies his actions, he's a good replacement for the original sans (the canon sans suffered from the death of his brother but didn't mourn). He shows us another side of Papyrus, one where we are shown that he really looks more like his brother than he himself would like. unconcerned about the death of his friends but determined to kill you.

I love this take of dustbelief, he doesn't become super edgy and go on a killing spree for no reason. He starts to realize that maybe the human isn't as good of a person as he thought she'd be. Instead of becoming just as bad if not worse than the player he just does what the GREAT PAPYRUS WOULD DO! Which is becoming 999X more involved in capturing the "Human". I like to imagine that this route would somehow have even MORE puzzles than normal.

This is literally the best characterisation of Papyrus, in my opinion. He's not overly edgy, unlike in OG Dustbelief, but he still treats the situation seriously and he's not just goofing around, unlike in many of those "canonified" Dustbelief takes. He's also still very confident, while in some other takes Papyrus is just stupid

DUDE, THIS IS LIKE, LITERALLY THE PERFECT WATERFALL ENCOUNTER. I always imagined it would play out like this. Papyrus is obviously shaken from having to dust his own brother, but still refuses to take the same measures he has before giving you one last chance to give up. Not being as naive as he originally was bc of what Sans has revealed to him, but still hoping he can do things his own way. Also seems like he hasnt killed anyone besides Sans to at this point so that's a big bonus, most of the time it's shown he's killed Undyne already, which I dislike. I could be wrong about some stuff though since I don't follow this AU as much as I should lol. Also also I love how his idle is still well... still as a rock like in the og game, yet the jacket moves in the wind.

I'm gonna be honest, after rewatching this a few times I think that the dialogues really fall flat. Don't get me wrong they ARE in-character, the problem is that it's not engaging, at least not with the context of the AU itself, being Dustbelief (and what Papyrus went through). It's mostly the fact that the dialogues are trying to be in character too much, to the point where it becomes unclear to understand what they want to express, and how Papyrus is feeling, since he even contradicts himself with a few lines... I was talking with a fellow writer friend of mine and we both came to this conclusion. Of course this is just feedback and I'm only trying to give constructive criticism, so no hate towards the writer
