I made an herb garden on the side of my house where nothing was growing except weeds. I lined it w river stones and put chopped up leaf mulch in it. It really turned out beautiful. It’s the perfect spot because it gets longer periods of shade and it’s super hot here in Texas.

Thanks for sharing this gem Tony. My sage plants are workhorses and I really enjoy their flavor enhancements to my foods. I did recently install a garden dedicated to just herbs and went away for one week. Apparently it rained so much that upon my return it was filled with weeds. Gots to stay on top of the weeds.

Very nice herb garden - I have a heap of dirt in the middle of the garden from building a deck in the back of the house! At first I was mortified until I changed gears and started looking at it as a gift instead of a big pile of dirt. We ended up keeping the shape as dumped and lined the perimeter with red Angelus Block and beautiful local rocks from our mountain wash - it turned out really nice. I had an old bathtub I painted the sides flat white & top light royal blue - then planted it full of black sunflowers seeds and what a beauty!! I'm going to tier the rest of the island and grow herbs & flowers for my lovely birds, bees & butterflies❣️ Thank you for all your helpful videos!!!

Spring onions will grow back for several years. Our Parsley not pulled came back this spring along with our sage. It gets very cold here. Handful of days last winter -15 F. The bonus is, many herbs defend against insect damage. Wood chips work great as a slug deterrent with all of their sharp edges. Do you have a video on drying herbs? TYFS Tony

Got some SB plant invigorator and used with some sticky fly traps and plants have massively improved. It's quite expensive and as I had a bad infestation required 2 full bottles which amounted to about 2 and 1/2 applications. Would recommend... my only criticism is the spray bottle design is a bit poor as it doesn't like being pointed downwards when less than half full. Surely most plants are on the ground? At least it made me try spray under the leaves to ensure all lurkers were covered. Thanks again.

I'm fairly new to gardening, and especially gardening where I live. I'm looking into starting a herb garden here in Thailand, and apart from growing the native herbs here, I was wondering if I could grow some of the cooler climate herbs here, such as basil, Rosemary or Thyme?

Hi! I recently bought three bags of compost. I opened two of them and they both are covered in a splotchy white mold. Can I still use it? Maybe if I mix it around and let it dry out in the sun for a few days? Its for a variety of things, tomatoes, flowers , and some houseplants. I assume I shouldn't use it for germinating , right?
