Beautiful! I love the Mexican Pottery, because as a very proud mexican myself living in the Netherlands, I love and admire our wonderful handcrafts. Love Catherine Holm💙 I went thrift hunting a few years ago for a new enamel pot. I found a 2 quart and 4 quart pot with lids for 15 bucks=) I got home and looked them up...To my surprise Catherine Holm is the crack of enamel ware and I just hit the jackpot!!

I used to collect hand painted pottery when I lived in Germany. We were stationed there from 72 to 96 so I have a lot of Europen things in my house

I love it!!! We have so ugly-they-are-bugly cupboards in our kitchen that do no close properly (way worse crap than what you had) so you have inspired me!! Oh I just thought of strip lighting underneath each shelf, oooooooohhhhhhh!

Hey Laura, I use sheets of brown or white butcher paper on the shelves where the shelf is out of the sight line. Just put those dusty, greasy papers into the much bin and replace with new paper as needed. This is a trick from the days before built in kitchen furniture.

Those plastic nubs you have for your plates on your kitchen shelf, you can stick them on a cupboard door, so that when you open them the nubs stop them banging together, stopping them being scratched.

Ohhhhh I love all the pottery ❤ I am a collector of pottery too. I love that you use your pottery. I use all my pottery also. In fact I made a rule years ago that all items brought into my house had to be functional and be used. I believe that is part of loving them....continue to enjoy their functions rather than just to look at on a shelf. I am particularly drawn to cobalt blue pieces like you. I think about all the love the potter put into making the piece & how many hours the potter put into each peice that I enjoy. Great video Laura. Keep them coming sweetie❤

Love your open shelving. We got a new pantry, lower cabinets and countertop. We want to do open shelving. Looking at different brackets and types of shelves. Currently trying to figure the spacing and whether to do 2 or 3 shelves. Our old cabinets had come from another house and put in by a previous owner. We found some many odd things they did and did not do. We've corrected plumbing and electrical and added 2 more outlets. Old cabinets were not adjustable. We are loving the new layout and adjustable shelves. It truly feels like a lot more space even without any upper cabinets. We moved our fridge to a corner and plan to get a kitchen cart with casters. We even have a piece of our countertop we could add to the cart. I will look for your other kitchen video. Love the colors. We went with Behr Pacific Bluffs for 2 walls, Considering doing shiplap above cabinets. We are taking a short break to replace back door before doing shiplap and put in new floor. I am doing blue with a few pops of color. I also plan to add some copper pieces. If they do not work in kitchen, I have 2 other rooms that I can use them in. Did not find the other half of your kitchen makeover. Did it get deleted?

Luckily where I live it’s just not that dusty! I think all the rain here helps 😂 It’s never been a problem. I only put up what I use often so it gets used and washed and doesn’t have time to collect dust 👌

Just saw your channel you have a good eye for detail. Here is a tip for you.... Look in your area where you live for either glass or ceramic repair, I broke a dinner plate putting in the dishwasher and my wife was very upset. Lucky for me there is a shop that does repairs and you honestly can't tell it was repaired

not a huge fan of open cabinets because everything is so "open"! I love staging my cabinets, at least the ones that I use for storage and not everyday use. Your taste is very similar to mine. I too love the mid century late 60’s design. We are in the process of creating our kitchen ( it’s a new build): i’d like open shelving in the kitchen. You mentioned Pacific NW, we are in oregon

When it comes to holding things down so they won’t fall off a shelf or be knocked down when you try to dust them (or by a cat) try museum wax or museum putty. Cheap, won’t damage the item or the surface, and available on Amazon.
