I see a lot of people in comments under these videos wondering how Gordon Ramsey can even tell if food is fresh, from a can, all that. When you grow up with certain ingredients and you actively eat very fresh foods, you develop that sense very quickly. I’m fortunate enough to have a dad who can *really* cook. I’m talking fancy restaurant level cooking. Growing up a lot of adults were shocked that I liked things they did because I was a child. Probably the same thing for Gordon. You just develop that palette

There are exceptions, flash frozen broccoli vs picked out of the garden are very hard to tell apart when cooked properly. Same with some cuts of beef. I buy a half a steer at our local fair and the frozen brisket vs one I bought from fresh a local butcher were identical. But yeah I get your point canned vs frozen vs fresh always go with fresh if possible.

That's the thing most people don't realize. Most restaurants are not AS bad as what we see on these shows. But most of them are nowhere near as clean as Ramsey thinks they should be or as people imagine.
