It was nice to see you washing your containers. I've been amazed, on these organizing shows, how many smart young women pull the labels off and dump their food right in them! I think of how these containers go from mfg to your kitchen and how many hands and pests have touched them all along the way.

Instead of a spice "drawer", I have spice bins that I put in my cabinet. It's something I started overseas as my kitchen there did not have any drawers. In my kitchen here in Texas, we have limited drawers where I'd like to use my spices, so in the bins they stay! Maybe someday I'll have drawer space, but until then, this works just fine! Thanks for sharing the real life of putting things away, then rearranging, and rearranging, and rearranging again! We just moved here a year ago, and I'm still tweaking the locations of our things! My poor hubby! He gets used to one place, then I change it to another! LOL Blessings to you as you guys settle in and make it yours! ~Wendy

I keep a running list of “things to do”. So handy to get stuff accomplished. And I like crossing off those items I get done. I think it took me 3 times to get my kitchen the way I wanted after our remodel and you can bet I have a spice drawer, also alphabetized!

And even if it’s not in my own home, I feel the same sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when you show us the finished project! 😊👍 I too have begun using eco-strips for my laundry a few months ago, and I love it. They are from TruEarth, a Canadian company who also does disinfectant eco-strips for multi-surface cleaning. I thank you for reminding us that one of the reasons you have an extended pantry is for saving money. I did start a little one (I don’t have much space), inspired by you, but I don’t do it the way you suggest, so I miss the main purpose! I actually watched this video on Sunday (I watch on our TV but I still haven't figured out how to like or subscribe to channels on the TV...that has to wait for my laptop!). This week, I'm working in 2 areas: setting up a new space for my prepper pantry, as the current one (while organized) is too cluttered with items in the front (it doesn't make for easy access to items in the back, so down to a set of cupboards in our basement the extras will go!) and decluttering clothes in our master bedroom/closet (that's certainly going to be a chore but the only way to deal with it is to dive in!). Thanks Robin! As I always say, I look forward to your videos each week! This week you spurred me on to get things done 😊

I created a "home" box (like a recipe box) many years ago. I have ALL household chores listed on index cards sorted out in time categories; daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal & annual. I also keep names/phone numbers/details of needed info that we use for specific tasks; sprinkler test company in the May file, HVAC filter size & where to buy them in the monthly section, etc. It makes keeping track of everything so much easier and during difficult seasons of life, when thinking is hard, it's helpful to have the info on hand. I'm surprised you don't make your own laundry soap. I have found it to be very economical & really great at cleaning our clothes plus it solved a soap allergy problem my husband developed in mid-life! I'm really enjoying your videos, thanks for sharing with us 😊

She has made laundry soap before but I don't remember which vlog it is on. Go to the search box and put in Faith and Flower 2018 and you can see all her vlogs. One of them I think says something about making laundry soap. I never did it because it seems like I just grab a pod and stick it in the wash. So lazy

I love that you have your kitchen sink under the window now; I have loved mine there for years. So nice to look out while working! So many things about your new home that are just so nice Robin! We are currently working on moving our laundry room from the basement level; to just off the kitchen, which used to be an entryway/mud room. It will be SO nice at this stage of life to have everything right here on this level; instead of hauling clothes baskets up and down stairs! Not fond of that anymore! lol ! I hang certain clothes outside on the clothesline in the summertime; so less steps will be wonderful! My husband will be installing cupboards like yours as well over the washer/dryer; with a bar in between for hanging clothes. We will be bringing the upright freezer into the space as well; I’m also looking forward to not having to bring frozen groceries downstairs any longer either; and all of it will be right here off the kitchen. Seems there is always a project going on, even in our 50’s lol 😄 By the way; I’ve been curious; does Patrick speak with a Swiss accent? Always wondered! He reminds me of how my husband is; rather shy and always tackling some type of home projects on his own lol Many similarities 😄 ! Have a lovely week Robin; enjoy the spring weather! Currently I am using both brands. From LG got to try out. Bought LG washing machine more than 3 years back. Being using 😘 since these are not messy. Were given a few boxes from purchase of LG washing machines, Top and bottom washers. Haha just put in the drum follow by laundry due for wash 🤓 . The brand is Fuji, laundry sheets, bigger sheet. Half or whole sheet depends on the load. Made by LG company, Korea. These laundry sheets dissolve in water. Next is Truth Earth comes in smaller sheet. I suppose is from Canada. Half or a whole sheets depends on the load. As of now I prefer LG laundry sheets. Great to know that you are trying from Grove.👍

I saw a great many ideas on your video today that I really like. The spice drawer is one of them. I keep mine in alphabetical order, also. Mine are not in the little containers like yours so I will probably update that soon. I am starting a project on clearing out a lot of holiday decorations and repacking what I keep but, hope to get back to the kitchen soon. One of my kitchen problems is storing larger small appliances in my kitchen. I have to use the pantry shelves for hat which takes a lot of the pantry space. My daughter stopped by one day and and said I have too, many sets of dishes so guess that will be another job to tackle. Think the 15 minute idea is a great one I need to practice. I’m using the same concept sheets for my washer. They are from Clean People, and I love them. The same company makes product like oxi clean. Instead of drying sheets, I’m just using vinegar. Works very good, and I don’t have extra chemicals on my washed closed.

When you mentioned using the sink in your laundry room, it reminded me of the time we remodeled our home in New Hampshire. I did the dishes for 2 weeks in the bathtub! But moving has been a pleasure to return to Vermont, but trying to set up a new organized system can be a challenge. I am used to certain places for certain things and then I had to get used to a new system. But I am all set - after 15 years up here, we are settled. Now I am decluttering!

My new IKEA kitchen cupboards are being installed on Tuesday with the countertops going in a week later. Until then I’m using a large folding table in the laundry room for dishes!! No floor yet. Hopefully by the end of May that will be done. I’m excited to see what my new kitchen is going to look like.

I realized I just need to work on one at a time instead of trying to get it all done at once! So this week I will finish painting the kitchen. I have been doing that 15 to 20 minutes in one area at a time. I work and I have 7 grandchildren living with me. Dealing with teens these days isn't easy and they aren't being very helpful so I am really enjoying consitrating on one area at a time to truly get organized not just put away. I'm sure I'll be working on this for some time. Love your ideas with how to do it. I have lots of those baskets and bins I can reuse.

Hi, Robin! I’m currently working on too many things in the garden.😄 However, as always, you’ve given me much to think about while I tackle garden projects! I will be making a list of all the small spaces I can rework to make our lives better. The best thing is I can do 15 minutes here and there even after a long day in the garden. Love absolutely love your organization!! We are getting a main floor laundry room installed and I'm trying to decide cabinets or shelves above the washer and dry. Plus we have a pantry cabinet right inside the pocket door and a utility sink. I'm going to love it when it is done. I may just organize in cupboards like yours. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Keep up the good work girl! Looking good. I’m jealous you are in a ranch. I have terrible knees arthritis so stairs are rough but I do get tons of exercise. We don’t have a. Bathroom on main floor so it’s up and down all day 😂😂

I have a small kitchen too and I try to keep the essential items there. I always dream to have a larger kitchen, but recently I realized that I can enjoy every inch of the small kitchen and be blessed also. I’m thinking of converting a small walk in coat closet into a pantry with shelves for larger and extended items. I’m always learning from experts like Robin to organize and clean. I feel so blessed with these information and motivations.

Excellent upload, again, Robin. I love watching your weekly progress. I love the new spice labels; it's clever to use waterproof labels for items such as these since hands may or may not always be dry. I love your spice drawer! I have a similar set up in a drawer with the original spice containers, but I can never find what I'm looking for! I'm going to switch it over to the 4 oz mason jars. Your organization is inspiring!

Time for me to work on switching out my fall/winter clothes for my spring/summer clothes. Instead of the all day project it usually is, this time I’m going to do small amounts each day over the next week or two. It will still get done, but should be easier on my post-surgical shoulder repair to do it in small increments.

God Bless You Robin, you are such an inspiration to me and to so many of your fans. I really can't remember how I found your vlog, but it was a lucky day for me. Your voice is so calming and I truly love the things that you do. You are also so down to earth. Where did you get those amazing adjustable shelfs. I need them bad. I bought plastic ones from Bed Bath and Beyond and they are not adjustable and they are driving me crazy. When you said you were moving, I wondered what your home would be like. You seem so thrilled in this new home, and your renovations have been fantastic.Your other home was honestly so grand, and this home is much smaller. Let me ask you this question, do you miss the bigger home and especially the bigger kitchen. I moved from a bigger home to a townhouse, and one of my complaints has always been the small kitchen. I wanted to renovate it, but it is so so expensive to do. Being just the two of us, I am not sure it would be econimical to do but your is a lot like mine now, and I love watching you put things away. You are a wonderful person, and I still am hoping for you to go back to filming twice a week. I just think you are helping so many people. Thanks again. Have a wonderful day. How is Payton loving the house, and I don't see the dog as much. He must love being in his big backyard.

Thank you Roberta! The shelves were installed by the previous owners, but I think you can find similar ones at places like Home Depot. I am looking forward to the ease of maintaining a smaller home - including a smaller kitchen. Once it is complete and I’ve had time to compare, I’ll let you know, but so far minimizing has had many benefits. Payton is doing well and likes it here - as well as Austin who does love his big backyard. 😊🌸💗🐾

Thank you for responding. We love your ideas. Tomorrow I will be reorganizing somethings yeah. We just found a closet ironing board. They are amazing. The board pulls out of the cupboard and when it is put back, ,it looks like the other finished cupboard doors. We got ours at Home Depot for around $229.00. I bought the iron you have been using, so I will get to try that this week too. Thanks for telling me about Payton and Austin. Love this inspiration you give me

Hi Robin, Wow!! you are so busy, and its looking great. You inspired me to sort and repaint part of my storage in our old "walk through" utility... I painted the inside of 1 of the cupboards and used Command hooks to sort the mops and brushes... everything fits now--so Thank you for the inspiration...only 2 more cupboards to go...lol

Hi Robin - everything looks like it’s coming together well after your move. I am having the flooring on the second level of our home replaced shortly. We are emptying one room (the one with less furniture)to have room to put the furniture from the room we will be having done first. We want to paint also. The flooring arrives Tuesday so probably our installer will start the following week. It will be so nice to have done. It’s a job that is long overdue. Have a good day!
