Any 'easy' ideas for removing a brick hearth?

Use a light sledge hammer with a gentle touch. Start with the corner and work your way in. Expect the unexpected and maybe use some kind of concrete chisel with a 3 pound handheld maul on the grout lines to free things up if it won’t budge. It will make a mess.
