Kitchen sink base cabinet improvement

This is a preventative maintenance video about how to improve the aesthetics and increase the longevity of a kitchen sink base cabinet. 
Kitchen base cabinets tend to attract water, be it from wet sponges, slow leaks or occasional larger leaks. The moisture can soak into the bottom shelf. The wood can then become moldy and possibly start to rot and/or warp, particularly if it is particleboard construction as many are.
Installing contact paper or painting, the surface is one way to minimize water from soaking into the bottom shelf. This video illustrates the painting method.
