Have you thought about French drains at all around back side of house by kitchen and around the other exterior wall where ground level is considerably higher than foundation of house? Owned an old farmhouse with stone and timber construction where back garden of house sloped up drastically from foundation- like yours - and ended up with moisture issues (never flooded). We had a basement, not sure if you do, that was an old root cellar and old original cistern. Ended up digging a meter trench around foundation on those sides of landscape and layered a foot of pea gravel then perforated drainage pipe and a couple of feet of larger gauge gravel - wouldn’t clog drainage pipe perforations- on top. Framed in with wooden sleepers on outer edges - added some in vertically since there was a rise up the other way which made a long “step”. Added some low voltage lights and made a great pathway around back side of house. Added a patio off of drainage area. Worked a treat! No more moisture wicking up through stone and rotting higher timber frame or damp patches on interior walls from moisture in that area. Not sure if a concern of yours but thought I would mention now. Kitchen is going to look great!

Hi Angela thanks but a long story short we won't be having french drains here we are 450mm out of the ground and water tight also we had 4 constant months of rain this year and not even a puddle the land is free draining and we are on a hill 😀 😉

Went to clean out the barn today only to come across a bees nest so had to high tail it out of there as I am fatally allergic to them and don't have an epi pen as yet. As new to France have no idea what type of bee they were but it was definitely a bee and not a wasp or a hornet. They looked like a traditional english bumble bee but only half their size, any ideas as to what they are? Somebody will come and have a look at them next week as they need to be removed, All as I know as they got very angry very quickly when I disturbed them, I was off like a flash as soon as I saw them Have a great week, cheers from Plessala.🙂

I’m sorry to hear that you will be cutting back on your KZbin videos but it’s perfectly understandable. It’s your channel and you need to do what you need to do for your life. Hi we are having a hard wood floor I've aloud in the cabinetry for the correct hight and i will be cutting the floor in to suit the kitchen as its just wasteful to hide it under units and we are about sustainability here hope this helps Budo 🙏🏻🥰

The darker lavender, is it what we call lavandin? In the region of Milly la Forêt, they started to cultivate for extract .

Hi Florence we just know it as Hidcote Blue English lavender its a strong smelling lavender and the bees love it as much as the grosso it also makes nice oil and can be eaten to hope this helps Budo x
