I was a little leery about wooden countertops as they seem like they wouldn’t have the longevity of say, granite. But the color contrast between that and the cupboard doors is so warm and rich that it’s worth taking extra care to keep the countertops in good condition. It was a special treat to see the wood go from felled tree trunk to finished counter tops, thanks for showing us how it works! 😊

I love the counter tops. We could not find proper butcherblock tops, there were none to be had anywhere. We ended up buying bamboo tops. No where near as rich looking as your's. The cabinets look amazing. Tracy is going to be so happy working in the kitchen you are building her, Budo. I love watching you work.

Well done Budo!! another amazing job and great to watch the process and wish I had smelly vision socI could smell the wood. It reminds me of my times as a child watching my Dad making our kitchen units . It was a labour of love and he also boxed in a Belfast sink and that was when I was about 7 years old as I'm now 71. I can remember how the Corona delivery man was amazed as he hadn't seen a hand built kitchen. My Dad was self taught and a perfectionist. Can't wait to see the rest of the kitchen come together.

Absolutely Brian😍🙏Budo was talking to Adam who lives in London and he went into a hand made kitchen shop and saw a kitchen very similar to what Budo is hand making and the price was £120,000 amazing 😻

Hi David thank you yes I just went on Google over here and found a site in Germany they sent it to me within 3 days I used to get it in England from our local family run builders yard but they don't send abroad buddy but it should be pretty easy to find here mate it's called kleinerit 501.0 PUR very good and odourless to boot mate 😀 😉

No Jan i always paint the ends of green timber meaning wet timber to slow the drying prosses down this helps stop the wood splitting xx
