Tracey and Budo Just an awesome intro just loved it. It reminded me of Home Alone. The change of music style well worth it. We had snow here for 2 days at Plessala as well along with this we also had a break in, in our barn. Thank goodness we removed almost everything a couple of months back so they didn't get anything. Great news this week the house pack from Australia is arriving on Thursday.😁 Everything together at last. Re the kitchen coming along nicely and maybe Tracy will have a new Kitchen to cook Christmas dinner? Have a look at the Ecoflo generators. A few of the KZbinrs are using them. Take care and stay well, sending you best wishes and I look forward to your next vlog.❤

Hi from Australia.🙂 Can you make up a large wooden crate, to leave outside, pack the bottom of it with snow, put your freezer items in it and then pack snow around them!? This might save some of your items and you may as well make use of the snow that’s there! 😁 Also, with the goat willow, rather than chop a whole bunch of the tree right down low, couldn’t you just lop off the damaged branches and thus save the tree having to struggle to regrow so many more limbs?? I wish you all the very best in these trying times. Sending hugs and kisses. 🤗🤗😘😘

Married to a power board employee,as soon as bad weather forecast I filled pots, buckets and bath with water. Dont open freezer, keeping it sealed keeps it frozen longer, stuff out of fridge in cooler bags and packed in snow If stuff does end up thawing in freezer, cook and refreeze once power back on. I feel for the 'linies'out in this, they have to treat lines as live at all times, there will be a huge switching program to isolate lines to repair an exploded transformer. And gradually power will be restored

Wet snow is the worst. We’ve had full trees come down after a heavy snow fall here in Canada. Not sure if what we heard was an explosion or snow thunder which we get here on occasions. I would have gotten some coolers and put the freezer food in it and set it outside where it’s cold enough to keep it frozen, even some of the refrigerator food too. Welcome to the 19th (and earlier) century! I remember well the bad snowstorms/blizzards we had on the high plains in western Kansas and days without power while growing up (no school!). Those who had all electric really suffered. Those of us who had wood burners, kerosene heaters, gas ovens, not so much. We had generators as well, and most of the farmers (farming area) were similarly equipped. Actually, it was those times that are the most memorable since everyone helped each other out clearing snow, gathering together for meals, socializing. How times have changed!

We seldom get snow, but we lose electricity quite often in Louisiana. You need some old-fashioned oil lanterns to add to the candles. I find these more helpful than battery run lights. You buy the batteries in anticipation of storm season, but when it's time to use them, they often have gone flat. I pray you are warm enough and the storm damages are not great.

That’s quite the snow storm and I live in Canada. Snowing when you still have leaves on the tree can cause quite a bit of damage. The snow on top of the covering of your plants can insulate and protect them from the cold. If outside is below freezing take your stuff out the refrigerator outside to prevent spoilage.

As you said we are used to snow here in Canada. Our power lines are over head as we live in the older part of the small city. We bought a generator years ago after being without power for several days. Of course we bought the generator after the fact and have never had to use it. Please take care and stay safe and warm. HI! Nice profiles! The process of planing the pieces is fine - it's more worrying that you are wearing gloves and a long sleeved shit just inches away from a fully exposed planer blade. That gives me the chills! Atleast make the area of the rotating blades smaller by using the protection cover. If you get stuck in a planer, it will chew your hand off! I don't mean to be unkind or anything, I like your videos! But it just worries me to see, since it's so unsafe. Kind regards from a Cabinet Maker and educated Furniture Restorer Ps. what kind of wood are you working with? Birch?

Hi Christian i have worked in the trade as a Carpenter & joiner Cabinet maker for more then 40 years and have never had an accident with machinery the reason is because I'm very experienced and aware and never hesitate or constantly think what if as you grow in your experience you will understand what i mean i know other joiners who are constantly having accidents and they have all the safety equipment in the world its all down to your skill level and confidence also the timber I'm using is graded best quality popular which makes fantastic profile mouldings all the best Budo

@@FrenchFarmhouseDiaries I'm sorry, but that is the worst argument ever. I know people without finger who dissagree an just as much experiance and confidance. It is the first thing you learn in any machine shop class! Do you also drive without a seatbelt? 😆 Do notice that I'm saying this because I care, not just to be an idiot ☺
