Just wanted to say thank you for this video, it saved me from having to buy another refrigerator.

This was the fix for me. I have a 2006 Jenn-Air built in side by side. Symptoms were unit beeping, and when pressing "on" button inside fridge, the fridge would try to start, compressor would go for a few seconds then power on display would go off. Checked with multimeter to see if it was sending around 5Vdc to the inverter for compressor. It was for a few seconds then 0Vdc. Which, in my case, eliminated the inverter and compressor as culprits. Changed out this capacitor as well to a 220mf 50v. Checked old cap with multimeter was reading 180 micro farads. Up and running again. Thanks very much for the video!

With radio shack gone, where do you buy a capacitor this little. I’ve also seen the relays could go bad.

@@ickess I ordered a multi pack assortment. I think from Amazon. Just use a 50v rated cap instead of the 35v. I had to do it again a year later so I increased to the 50. Haven’t had a relay problem. Mine is from 2006. Since mine is a built in and the compressor is on top with little to no air circulation I added a small computer fan to help blow across the coils. Also make sure the coils are clean and not clogged

Hi, it’s very helpful tips, what is speciation of the capacitor? My refrigerator has the same problem

I used a larger rated capacitor. Still 220uf but went to a 50v instead of 35v

If you ever have a problem with the icemaker, not making ice check to make sure the fill tube above the ice maker is not frozen. I’ve had to thaw mine twice.

Mine is stuck on holiday mode after board repair, what can it be?

www.justanswer.com/appliance/cdfpd-side-by-side-kitchenaid-stuck-holiday.html Not sure I didn’t have that problem but if you look at this link, it could still be a bad board Obsolete boards can still be found. Sometimes they want the old one back so it can be refurbished
