Kitchener G Full Road Test (Route 1 out of 2) - Full Route & Tips on How to Pass Your Driving Test

I did my G road test yesterday (March 31 2021). When you get there there’s a separate line to sign in that you’re there so don’t worry about the long lineup. You can only sign in half an hour before your road test. They took me Highway 7 to the Victoria street cut off, had me immediately get back on and exit at the Ottawa street cut off, had me do a three point turn, emergency stop, naturally there was a four way stop, and then they had me reverse park instead of parallel park. In total it was about half an hour. My drivers examiner said you can go anywhere between 90 and 100 but not over 100 on the highway/expressway. Make sure you have your mask on all the way or else the test will be postponed for half an hour and they will make you sit with the windows down. If you fail that, your test is canceled automatically nAnd you have to keep your mask over your face the entire trip and you can’t touch it. Hope this helps!

Did the G test in February 2022. Examiner was super nice. Took the Wellington Exit and entered back from there. Again took the Ottawa Street Exit. Checked left right left on passing intersections. Checked mirrors frequently. Checked blind spots. No parallel parking, back parking, 3 point turn from me. Did front parking at the end. Passed the test. However, I did a lot of practice before the test. Practised everything just to be on the safe side. Thank you for both vedios.

They didn't get me to do parallel parking, 3 point turn, or emergency stop either, it's because of the modifications they made to help get caught up on the backlog of appointments from being closed for covid it ends March 31 and everyone will have to do the full test again

Passed my G today in extreme rain. Cluld barley see anything and on the highway I was doing 85 to reduce my speed according weather conditions. Passed with flying colours the test was only like 12 minutes lol. Thanks for the vid!

13:36 - no blind spot check when making a turn 24:22 - didn't turn your head to check intersection 24:53 and 25:29 - no blind spot check 27:25 - didn't check rearview mirror for 14 seconds 27:46 - no blind spot check on your right 28:26 - didn't check T-junction and multiple instances of these mistakes are made throughout the video. Despite that you're a good driver, they're not serious mistakes and in context clearly each time it was safe and no amount of extra checking would have made a difference even if someone was trying to ram into your car. None of that matters for an examiner though. All that matters is whether or not they're having a bad day, or if they decide that they don't like you, or if they are on a power trip, or if they decide you didn't move your head enough. The bottom line is everyone makes these kinds of mistakes, but the only thing that matters is a subjective person that selectively decides whether you will pass or fail. And when they do fail you you'd have no recourse except to wait another 6-24 months for the next available appointment and pay another $91.25 booking fee, while hoping the next examiner isn't going to nail you on every single thing. If that was a real exam you should 100% always pass though, but the system we have now sucks so much that some moron with a government pension could be testing you and fail you just because they feel like it, and they will face no oversight, no accountability, and no repercussions. I'm certain if we randomly tested everyday drivers today with completely clean records by the same standards we test new drivers, 95% of them would fail in a road test. Even going through a yellow light is enough to fail immediately, even if it switches from green when you're a car-length away from entering the intersection. Nobody slams on their brakes for that, it's too dangerous and unpredictable, but examiners will fail you for driving through the yellow and that alone fails a fraction of people that just got unlucky with the timing. And with a G2, failing a G test is even more ridiculous because when you fail guess what happens right after? You drive away from the drivetest. The government worker deemed you unfit to drive with a full license but you are free to drive around still, at least until your G2 expires and you have to start over again. If we think it's about having more safe drivers on the road then it doesn't make any sense. And it doesn't make any sense because it's not supposed to. It's not about making sure we have safe drivers, it's about control. It's about reminding nearly every person as they enter adulthood that the government OWNS them. They constantly remind us that driving is a privilege, but because driving is essentially a requirement to live and function for most of us in our society, what they're saying is that they have the right to determine who gets to live and function, and that's just tyranny.

Drivetest isn't operated by the government. It was privatized in the 90s, they just have a monopoly as they're contracted by the government. They're corrupt as hell and the rest of your point stands, but it's not a "muh government" thing this time

Notice that around 26:32, in order to get to the Ottawa exit, you need to change lane to the right twice, but the tricky part is that there's a merge so that other cars want to switch to the left, extremely tricky if you don't anticipate this. Also, your lane change maneuver should be done in less than 1 km, or you'll miss the exit.

When turning left out of centre onto ottawa street, if a car is coming your way from left but has signal on to turn right, do you wait for it to turn right (into the centre) or do you go because you know you will not cross paths since you are turning left and they are turning right?

Guys, one question: almost at all videos You turn the stirring wheel to the right whilst parking when there is no incline of the road. My instructor and google search that I've done say that wheels should be straight. So, I'm confused and seeking advice about the source of this tip - could you please unveil it. Thx in advance ;)

if there is no curb or incline pointing the wheels to the ditch is safe option so it doesn't roll on the road. It probably wont roll on a flat road so it's really not necessary. Took a year but here it is
