I use the cardboard Shipping Shields and put all of my cards into a wrapped penny sleeve. I usually limit it to 6 cards per shield if I can, otherwise they get a little thick for a PWE.

2:20 I have a problem with card savers if the customer ordered NM cards. When the cards get compressed by the post office sorting rollers it can leave light creases where the cards overlap. I add a penny bulk common as a surface buffer and wrap the cards in a tightly sealed team bag, then into a shipping shield. This is the only way I found to keep the cards NM during the mailing process when the customers PWE order is too large for top loaders.

0:48 Where do you get those vending machine things for a good price. Every time I found some online they cost more than what I can get toploaders for.

Pro tip, when shipping a sealed case, for example, Sorcery Arthurian Legends, 6 boxes, place the case inside a shipping/master box. When you use the case itself as the master box the boxes arrive all dinged up.

More videos like this, I really like to see how people are packing TCG orders. We use #10 Envelopes, Stamp Address, Print Invoice, Penny, Top Loader, Team Bag. Scotch tape on bottom of team bag to invoice folded, tape on back of envelope to stay closed. I have had envelopes open up before they get to folks.

I like these types of videos. I definitely agree with what you said about letting you know who it’s from. I recently completed an unlimited set and you’d be shocked at how many people sent me revised cards. This instance was easy because I was only buying one of each card but what a nightmare that was…

I sort my inventory by set and do a good job labeling boxes/dividers so when my sister packages orders it’s nearly impossible for her to make a mistake. If there’s any confusion with an order (old cards, no set symbol or collector number) I just do those myself. It’s also good to separate the three generations: 1993-2003, 2003-2014, 2014-present.

I buy and sell thousands a month and the scotch tape epidemic is FAR worse than painters tape. Any time I get painters tape in an order, the seller has almost always packaged it better, overall.

I agree with minimizing tape usage as much as possible. I even stopped taping the flap on the shipping shield, just putting it in a team bag keeps it closed. Only tape I use is a small piece of tape attaching the team bag to the order page.

I use the penny sleeves on the cards, in a shipping shield, inside of a team bag. I usually don’t put an order slip in mine but my store name is on the envelope.

I use semi-rigids for 1-3 cards, i use shipping shield (pull tab) for 4+, and yes, I'm a painters tape enthusiast. I tried using the cardboard folders that you use but had a handful over time get damaged so i switched to the semi-rigids. I haven't looked to see if there is a team bag that fits a semi-ridged as I do like team bags vs tape.

ShippingShields work pretty well. They were a life-saver in the late pandemic when top-loader prices went to the moon. Tape always makes me cringe!
@ded_possum24 күн бұрын
They’re not bad at all, I just wish people would not tuck the tab that says DO NOT TUCK. Tucking the tab requires risk to the card when unpacking it.

I’ve had lots of cases come damage from TCG player because they are not double boxed. I’ve learned that TCG player deletes bad feedback most the time which seems shady. I guess if you want others in the community to see your feedback maybe don’t go below three stars? Seems like if you give them 1 star it will just get deleted.
@mattstrott75324 күн бұрын
Agree and definitely shady. Most of the time I leave 5 stars with no comments. For sellers who are exceptional I'll leave words too. There have been a couple times when I got awful service and I left 2 stars and an explanation. The buyer should know except the seller just gets TCG Player to scrub it. Completely dishonest sales practice. TCG Player has gone downhill since Ebay bought them.

@ I’ve experienced the exact same thing. I always leave detailed explanations and still gets deleted.

I thought you were supposed to put the cards and sleeve upside down into the top loader or card saver? That should prevent the cards from slipping into the tape. Also, you should fold over a corner of the tape to make it easier to remove.

One thing that drives me nuts, I just cannot understand, is why if you're putting cards in a sleeve, and then in a toploader, do people not insert the top of the sleeve into the toploader 'upside down'? It just increases the likelihood that the cards are going to slide out of the toploader in transit and get stuck on the stupid painters tape that sellers waste money on? What exactly am I missing here?

I also like when my cards arrive in new penny sleeves and top loaders. I dislike sellers who send $50 cards via PWE without tracking. Please use a bubble mailer and pay the first class shipping for cards worth more than $25.

@TheGrimKeeper23 күн бұрын
@@TealGaming-fb8bs I still use tape, but the tape never touches the top loader, only the team bag. Some customers like myself are also in the business and like to reuse the old top loaders when shipping out played cards. Sure, cleaning the adhesive off the top loader with WD-40 or nail polish is possible, but it’s not worth the time investment.
