Kite Buggy.....a perfect afternoon

Light on-shore winds starting off around 5 knots and slowly ramping up to 13 knots or so - a perfect time to give the 7 & 10m Nasa Star 2's a good run on the beach. Clouds slowly cleared leaving a fabulous sunny afternoon and very few people on the beach. It doesn't get much better. The Nasa's are fabulous light wind park 'n ride machines - perfect for relaxed cruising... The 10m will easily park 'n ride in 5 knots. At 10 knots I changed over to the 7m and at 13 knots I changed down to the 5.5m.

OK thanks. Hopefully I won't have any problems when the equipment arrives and I start using the pulley depower bar. Thanks for the message, you know how to drive a buggy, well done!

I ordered NS5 2.5M2 and 7M2 and that pulley depower bar will arrive soon on the 20m lines. I'm a little suspicious that the rope doesn't wear out from friction on the pulley.

I'd be surprised if there was much wear at the pulley. The setup looks a little like the Ozone Turbo Bar I used to have - there were no issues with wear on that.

I don't have one - but I would imagine I could get one from Steffen if I needed it. I've got quite a few vids of these kites, you should be able to find an appropriate 'screen grab' from one of the videos if you need a pic...

NASA BAR 3- LINE DEPOWER OR new Pulley system Depower bar wich is the best?

I haven't tried the new pulley system, but with the Nasa Star 2's and 3's (haven't tried the new ones) the simple 3 line bar is great. It's a really easy bar to use. The Nasa Stars don't depower like most normal depower kites and I don't like how they fly 'depowered' so I keep them fully powered unless I need to completely depower them.

True, they mostly pilotage on the handles of the control lines, four lines,2 power lines and 2 brake for landing!
