Brilliant job, Jeff. That one tip about the shoulders "in the direction you're flying" really hit home with me. Many thanks!

I'm a beginner. Haven't even been in the water yet. But using the props in this video, much like a Navy Fighter Squadron would use props in a similar fashion, really helps visualize where to put yourself and the kite. I've got a long way to go before jumps, but I'll be coming back to this video by the end of the summer for sure.

Great video, thanks... what about bringing the bar in and out? It sounds like you're saying it should be right hand down then left, or vice versa, rather than in then out...Have I understood correctly? I've just been doing in and out whilst trying to pop and it's very hit and miss Thanks for all your videos...that are a massive help :-)

Do you have in mind the arrow of wind direction you draw? I don't understand this position of the kite with lines parallel to the wind direction. Are you sure this is the correct position? it looks like you want to go downwind using the power zone of the windwindow, instead of upwind before a jump.

Hey Jeff, How's it goin? I'm kiter up here in Squamish BC Canada. I've developed this bad habit of when I go for a big jump I end up twisting and landing pretty much backwards. Do you have any idea what I could be doing wrong. I'd love to start landing all my big airs and I'm now starting to back roll and want to combine them. I've noticed I tend to rush through the motions and am trying to slow everything down a bit which is helping.

great video man, i ve been usually so focused on the kite, realized that i ve been completely ignoring the force from edging..

we love this video... great way to demo the theory
@kitegirl8312 жыл бұрын
Thanks guys! Haven't been able to jump higher mainly because I haven't been edging away from the kite, I'm guessing. Will try what you explained today.

Great video! If I'm having trouble with the first step (can't seem to get any pop without moving my kite), does that mean I'm not riding with enough board speed? Or am I edging too hard on my rail to begin with? Trying to learn backrolls and can't get any pop!

Hi Jeff Howard! Thanks for spending the time making this instructional video for us! You definitely perfected the art of teaching. Out of curiosity, what did you use to make your kite (in that hulk model)?

+Joy Sy Hi Joy, glad you enjoyed the video. Hulk's kite was made of poster board, we just added some Airush stickers ;)

@JamesBerryman199110 жыл бұрын
is this the same with landboarding with a kite? i would guess so but im curious
@kiteboardingcom10 жыл бұрын
Yes the same basic idea will work with landboarding as well. Usually in land boarding your riding slightly slower and holding a larger kite to get the bigger jumps. On the water the faster you ride and able to hold your edge the higher your going to go.. Ride on Ride safe
