yo kerel, Kan ik met mijn 87kg en een twintip (144x42) en een flysurfer 12m wegkomen (upwind gaan en sprongen onder de 5m) bij 15-18 knopen? Aangezien we in nl heel vaak wind rond de 15kt hebben. thnx en groet

@@Ryy22 Soul2 is released. Don't now the new soul handling but turning speed is always a characteristic for development. Maybe a good moment to test one

Awesome video again guys, thanks. I am lost a little bit and need an advice. I am 85kg, already have 6m, 9m, 12m, 14m tube kites, but since low wind condition always hunts me I want another kite for really low winds (lowest possible). Both for water and snow. Doesn't have my own hydrofoil, but they became more and more easier to rent nowadays. And i'll probably but my own some day. So the thing is I can't blindly (cause in my area there are no place to rent them and see for myself) choose between Sonic2 and Soul and also can't say if i need 18m, or 15m will be sufficient, since it's foil kites and the tend to have more pull than tube ones. With my 14m Slingshot Rally I could comfy ride from 14knots. So for everything lighter I need a new kite. How dangerous it'll be to have 18m with my weight if wind picks up say to 20knots?

Hi Pavel, lots of questions :) I try to do my best. If you haven't good a lot of foil kite experience. Go for the Soul. Play with line length. A 15m on long lines (27m) has the same low end as a 18m. Hydrofoiling and a 14m Rally. You could foiling under 10 knot and again play with line lengths for the best low end. The soul has a great depower range. With your weight 15m in 20 knots its still flyable if you have the skills. So at the eind. Soul or Sonic? The sonic is a bit more technical. 15m or 18 the 15m is a bit faster and play with line length for the same lowend as a 18m.

Mr kestaballen hello and thx for another great review. This souls looks very exciting...yet a burning question remains: how do you explain that when yourl depower the kite it turns faster. I seriously dont get it, considering that by depowering we change the angle of attack and not the shape of the kite. Tot straks :)

Let's start with thanks for your reaction :) Foils work differently as the tube kites. We ain't foil makers so technically we're holding back. The biggest kite feel difference between a tube and a Foil is, a foil needs a bit flying speed to turn it fast. Steering and pulling on the bar will slow the foil down and makes it turn slower. Keep it flying and you'll get the best out of foils.
